We have just used Sowerbys to sell our home. 2023 has not been an easy year to sell houses in general terms, but we have found the Sowerbys Team to be a focused and determined set of people to work with. In particular, the communication throughout the journey has been excellent and they have worked collaboratively with us to get to a positive sale at the end of the journey. We worked with Jess and Hayley - who were outstanding in their efforts to reach a successful outcome on our behalf. The marketing team (from a photo and video perspective) were excellent too. Would definitely recommend Sowerbys to anyone looking to sell their home in the future.

This is a review for Sophie Cook, who is a Senior lettings specialist at Sowerbys in Dereham. Initially we viewed a house in Dersingham that we really liked, but weren’t overly happy with the terms of the contract the landlord had set out and initially it put us off. Without having to ask or bargain, Sophie had spoken with the landlords to agree a tenancy term we were happy with, amongst other things. Sophie is extremely efficient and her communication skills are second to none. Since we’ve moved in the level of customer service hasn’t dropped off at all. I really couldn’t criticise anything! So here I am a month later sat in a house I’m over the moon with thanks to Sophie. We’ve had one minor issue with a radiator since moving in which I emailed about and I don’t think I’ve ever had a plumber out to the house so fast. Thank you Sophie, your hard work has really paid off. Excellent job all round.

First of all I would like to say a huge thanks to sowerbys on behalf of myself and partner. We were really struggling to find a place to rent,having spoken to alot of estate agents, sowerbys made the effort to keep contacting us when appropriate properties appeared on the market. Once we began the progress of applying, it was extremely streamlined and very easy. Leanne, who was absolutely brilliant really looked after us answering all of our calls and there were alot. She helped us with many enquires and requests that we raised during the application. She maintains great service and communication both professionally and personally. Recently my partner and I began renting our flat through Sowerbys. Our point of contact is Leanne for any queries or concerns we may have. Since before we even moved into our flat Leanne has been as helpful as a person could be. I tend to be quite a fussy/pushy person and she has never once made me feel like I’m a nuisance or that my questions lack validity. I have no hesitation in recommending Sowerbys Estate Agents. All the staff that I have met, have been most helpful and friendly. A wonderful video and excellent photos show my barn off perfectly to prospective buyers. I am also buying a new-build from Sowerbys. Jess is working hard liaising with the builder to make my purchase as trouble free as possible. Without a doubt the most professional Property Specialists I have come across, working with various companies around I say this with complete assurance. Octavia proactively calls me to assist in what I'm trying to find for my new home (not one other company has done this). Their staff are exceptional, Jack is so lovely, instantly knows who I am when I call, and excellent at his job being in the office or meeting you at a viewing, Louie such a handsome young man, who just shines and you can tell he loves his job, you feel you should buy the property from him even if it's completely unsuitable! I recently emailed Sowerbys to ask for some very old pictures of my childhood home that was once sold via them (since pulled down to the ground) My Nan has recently passed away and I so desperately wanted to grab every part of her I could find. I emailed hoping for a miracle that they still had them but to be honest thinking it was rather a long shot. A lovely person Named Cindy Naylor responded telling me that the file was empty but she would try her very best to locate them. She then emailed again after going to a lot of trouble with the photos. Photos none of us had seen in a long time and some photos we had never seen. She even took the time to put in blue sunny skies on some of them even though the originals were cloudy and overcast. This truly ment the world to myself and my family. She had never met me nor would Sowerbys ever make any money from going so far out of their way and yet she still did. Thank you Cindy you are truly a special person and Sowerbys are very lucky to have you.

Rank amateurs. We are buyers, if we were sellers I would walk away. Property brochure created in landscape but printed portrait, only half of most pictures visible and many of those different ways up. No two agents knew whether it was probate or Power of Attorney, "yeh its one of those". The photographs were beyond the pail. We all take estate agent photographs with a good pinch of salt but these perfectly set up first impression dissapointment. Worse was to come: the offers above price was "only to attract interest". "The vendor will not accept anything less than £25k above". What a total waste of time. We will not be searching Sowerbys, anyone using them is being ripped off.

Lettings Department - seriously disappointed in their lack of professionalism. As a landlord I trusted them with my investment and they have systematically whittled away my returns and have not realised it’s potential. I chose full management, they were reluctant to the point of stubborn to deal with rent increase requests, they don’t use local contractors, their trusted contractors are never challenged about their work or bills. They sided with my tenant in any disputes. I wondered what I was paying for and was told to leave. 1 ⭐️ is too generous my review is 0 - do not use. Special shout out to Rachel.

Excellent estate agent. Octavia and her team were extremely helpful in guiding us through a purchase which was difficult at times with many obstacles to overcome. We were impressed with the help we received and the overall professionalism of the whole team. We were buying from out of area and relied on Octavia and the team and we felt we received excellent advice. Sam went round in the rain to send a video to help us establish where a new boundary was to go. Octavia even organised a tree surgeon to come out immediately on the day we moved in when branches were blocking access for our delivery truck.
