Gerilee Robinson was simply wonderful. She was so patient and kind. She explained about the property and let us view with friends three times in total. It was a delightful experience for all of us. I feel that she is an asset to the company. Unfortunately we decided not to go ahead with this but we still have warm feelings towards Gerilee and the agency. More letting agencies should have people like Gerilee Robinson on their staff.

Being a landlord with one property already managed by Haart's in Derby, I have just put a second one on their books due to their experience in dealing with properties. Emma, the branch manager, is wonderful to deal with. She is extremely approachable and nothing is too much trouble for her. Having been with other estate agents in Derby, I would thoroughly recommend Haarts to anyone looking to manage their properties, or a tenant wants a reliable company to rent through. "You've tried the rest - now thy the best" - as the saying goes and in the case of Haarts this is perfectly true!

Also they gave us a welcome pack which most estate agencies do not give. A big thank you to Kelci Bates who was present at our viewing and answered all questions and was very helpful and lovely. Landlords STAY AWAY!!! Private landlords are key in providing a fair rental market and providing enough homes for those choosing to rent but I can see why so many are leaving when costs are through the roof, risks are high and companies like Haart exist. This company is beyond awful, their fully managed service requires the landlord to fully manage the management. Nothing is done without first being prompted. An endless tiresome battle. Most landlords will worry about getting bad tenants, with Haart it’s the management that brings the sleepless nights, the worry if they are doing their jobs and looking after tenants and your property. - Ignoring maintenance issues for months on end risking further damage to clients property and tenants enjoyment of their property - my tenants reported a failed seal in bath and shower area to Haart and for 3 months nothing was done. Not being able to use the shower, only baths because area not water tight for 3 months.. Moved the property to another company at a cost of £1500 exit fee and was fixed in 24hrs. - Failing to complete simple repairs and improvements for months, even years affecting a tenants enjoyment of their property - instructed Haart to install curtain poles in my new build property so tenant can have curtains, some privacy.. over “18 MONTHS” later a 2 hour job had still not been completed and I have newspapers stuck over the windows of my property so tenant can block out window, looks like a squat. I have followed up, chased on this countless times, raised complaints. - Beware of their contracts designed to lock you in and charge extortionate fees to leave, which you will want to do when you experience their terrible service!! - communication is dire, weeks, yes weeks to respond to emails, sometimes being completely ignored with no acknowledgement of your enquiry. Nobody ever answers the phone, leave a message and nobody returns your call. Try calling them, you will see, just rings through to answer phone. - They make mistakes with money and then take months to investigate and correct. All awhile the landlord is out of pocket. Simple requests for statements and reasons just get ignored. - They do not carry out key processes such as inspections without being asked to do so. I had a new tenant move in and even after 11 months nobody had checked in to see if tenants were ok and property was being looked after even though it’s part of the contract. Weeks after inspection finally done still hadn’t received a report on it. - Complaints procedure is painfully slow and an absolute farce. Say they are investigating but don’t even pick up the phone or request evidence of the issues. Found another management company to take over the properties due to so many issues and now Haart are demanding £3240 to leave a service I have been paying for but has not been provided and caused me no end of undue stress. I actually paid one just out of desperation to get away and even though they have now confirmed in writing breach of contract due to not achieving the standards the contract sets out are refusing to return my money. Most companies would analyse themselves and look for ways to improve their performance not hold the client and tenants to ransom further destroying their own reputation. It is incomprehensible how Haart even exist with such appalling performance. Dreadful company, AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Emma Flowers, the branch manager in lettings in contrast was fantastic in her role, but is completely let down by the property management department. The 5 star reviews must be very early into their experience, mine started off well but deteriorated very quickly. Be very wary of giving any weight to those reviews, believe me it’s just not worth it. You cannot possibly get worse than Haart management.

Kelci recently showed me a potential flat that I had showed an interest in renting. She was very professional during the viewing, it was clear she knew what she was talking about. We didn’t go ahead with the property although the service we received from Kelci was like no other. Compared to some other viewings I’ve had, it’s nice that the agent actually made us feel welcome… this shows why Haart are a step above the rest! If I ever let out a property myself, I know who I’ll be putting it up with.

She managed to schedule me in for a viewing on short notice and then after we made our offer, she communicated well throughout until we were able to find an agreement with the vendor. Friendly, fast and reliable - exactly as I would like from an agent. Both Gerilee and Trennaie were also helpful and patient as we worked towards completion, despite some difficulties. They communicated with the vendor and kept things moving along. We appreciate their work massively!
