Just a big thank you to Lianne who convinced me to walk in for an appnt after I cancelled twice on them...if it wasn't for her persistence to get me in with their mortgage advisor [Nick] as I had given up being offered anything substantial. What can I say bout Nick...well where to start... Nick' communication, knowledge, dedication and patience is amazing - explained everything in detail and he was there every step of the way, as he was also chasing the vendor's agents when they were not keeping me informed on the sale. My experience with Ashley Adams has been nothing short of infuriating and deeply disappointing. I’ve never encountered such incompetence and lack of communication. From the very start, the process was mishandled. I wasn’t even informed that the property I was offering on was a repossession, which means it was subject to open bidding. That’s a fundamental detail any halfway competent agent should disclose, yet I only found out much later. Even worse, I wasn’t told when my offer was accepted. Imagine going through the emotional rollercoaster of buying a home and not even being informed when you’ve successfully secured it. Absolutely unacceptable. Fast forward to now, we’ve been ready to sign and complete for nearly five weeks, and everything is being held up over something as simple as the garage keys. Five weeks of daily phone calls, endless promises of “we’ll get back to you,” and still no solution. It’s staggering how an agency can operate with such disorganization and disregard for their clients. This property has been on the market for over a year, and after dealing with Ashley Adams, it’s easy to see why. Their lack of communication, basic accountability, and urgency is beyond embarrassing for a company that supposedly deals with property transactions for a living. If you value your time, sanity, or even the smallest bit of professionalism, avoid this agency at all costs. Frankly, I’m amazed the management team still have jobs. The level of chaos and negligence displayed here points to a complete failure of leadership from the top down.

Keeping me updated, explaining the process, and taking the time to find the best deal and even giving advice on how to achieve this. So the sellers used these estate agents and we were actually the buyers. But if I was to sell my house I would never use Ashley Adams. There was lack of communication and if anything they slowed down the process. In fact I’m confused as to what their role was in this sale as I spoke to the seller directly throughout. They were fed up of them as well.

Great service, very satisfied (2020). Update ( 2023) I sold my house with Ashley Adams and while it wasn't smooth sailing due to the economic climate and me being nowhere near Derby ( including overseas for 6 months) the team were all fantastic and Matthew Wheatley went the extra mile whenever required- even checking my property while it was empty and using WhatsApp to communicate while I was GMT+13. They were also the most proactive agent when I was first putting the house on the market, having checked out my recent planning permission in order to include it in the advertisement. I'd definitely recommend them.

(Matthew Thomas) Great mortgage consultancy. Ashley Adams has always been easy and informative. Matt is always available to ask questions or query sometimes confusing paperwork, with such fast replies. During our most recent remortgage I didn't have to chase him once. Always on the ball, keeping us informed with the best deals as the market fluctuates. Ashley Adams overall has been a great buyers/remortgage experience. But Matt, in particular is a credit to the company.
