At the risk of sounding cheesy Ian & Alex at Storey Estates really have helped make our dream come true. Within 5 days of putting our house on the market Ian secured us an offer of £20k over the asking price. Ian’s attention to detail with the photography and drone video made all the difference to the presentation of our property. (Previously we had our property on the market for 6 months with a local Estate Agent and had only 2 viewings and no offers.) We were so impressed with Ian’s negotiating skills that we instructed him to negotiate on the purchase of our new property. With his patience and determination he was able to save us £30K off the asking price, far in excess of anything we would have been able to achieve ourselves. Throughout the whole process Ian & Alex have made themselves available at all times to ensure things moved quickly and smoothly right up to completion date. They even took calls from us at the top of a mountain in France while they were on a skiing holiday. Unsure of whether to sell or extend Ian came to our home at a convenient time in the evening and gave us an hour of his time. He advised what work he would recommend in order to get the house in a suitable position to sell, also advising what prospective purchasers would be looking for. The 11 step selling programme was very engaging and encouraging. He was well researched and advised of his valuation that night. Ian also recommended what options may be available to change/extend our home that we hadn’t already considered should we not want to sell. Ian appreciated that we had a lot of thinking to do and didn’t push for a sale, in fact maybe the opposite and in the process maintaining a good relationship for potential future business.

Ian came to see us after we used his online valuation tool. we can't place the house on the market straight away as we work from home but with Ian's help a plan has been agreed. We received guidance on how to present the house for sale to achieve the best price. his approach was a breath of fresh air , no pushy sales, genuinely interested in getting best price. his 11 stage plan is clear and makes sense . we have already started on the redecorating and decluttering and Ian has also been available to advise on best paint colour. we feel genuinely excited about the future and knowing that ongoing support is there is already making it less stressful. no upfront fees , no contract , plain and simple

"Oooh you must be buying something really nice!" This was a comment I heard several times when I told friends/family that we were buying through Storeys. And we did! I work in the industry, so I was keen to see what all the fuss was about. Storeys had certainly entered the local Estate Agency market with a different approach. Their boards were popping up all over town and I'd heard that they offered a high-end service. As one of their buyers we benefited from this service...for free! The property stood out on Rightmove and having watched Ian's video this persuaded us to book a viewing. Being honest the property wasn't even on our shortlist until Ian 'brought it to life'. From the second we stepped through the door we got "the feeling" and wanted to offer. Ian has a very direct approach, which personally I really like. No messing around and he soon negotiated us up to a price both ourselves and the vendor were comfortable with. Then we were passed over to Sophie. She was invaluable as a sales chaser. Wow she knows her stuff - predicting things that could delay our sale (when we were sold through another agent). Basically, we became a team with the common goal of getting contracts exchanged. Then to top it off on moving day Aiden arrived as the removal men were finishing off, with much needed essentials! The wine went down a treat.
