It is genuinely hard to express how brilliant Mortlock and Joyce are as an estate agent. Their commitment, attention to detail and professionalism has just been outstanding and we have been recommending them to everyone we know! From the first time we met Pete when he came to do an initial valuation, we knew this company was something special. They used a data-first approach to the valuation while other estate agents had just put their finger in the air. Pete took the time from the first meeting to get to know us personally, understanding our situation and how we would want to approach a sale and move. The marketing materials the team produced for the property were exceptional, particularly the video walkthrough including the highlights of the local area. Pete found a suitable buyer for our property much quicker than we expected and gave invaluable advice on selecting the best offer. He and his team have been hands on and supportive in helping the sale to go through, keeping the channels of communication open and smooth with all parties. Pete has also been incredibly generous sharing his knowledge of the housing market while we searched for an onward property. This really helped us in deciding on the right area and negotiating a good price.

Jon at Mortlock and Joyce showed us a beautiful and unique house earlier in the year. Though changing requirements meant that we didn’t end up going for it, we were struck by the excellent communication and responsiveness that we received from him throughout the process. Even during the period when our own house sale had fallen through, and we were not a proceedable buyer, we were impressed by the way Jon took care to keep us in touch with the situation and communicated with us like we were actual human beings rather than sales targets. We also loved that Mortlock and Joyce had named their agency after their grandparents and not after themselves. We suspect these two things are probably connected...

Pete and Jon are both worth their weight in gold and have been a pleasure to work with! My husband and I are finally on the road to completion on the sale of our first home. The process from beginning to end has been managed so professionally. As a busy house with a toddler, keeping a house spotless is no mean feat, so Pete suggested we opted for an open house, they managed the bookings, viewings and gathering feedback, which led to a fantastic sale (and many other offers) quicker than I could have ever imagined with minimal effort from us, which we are super greatful for. Pete and Jon have broken all of the stereotypes and preconceptions we had of estate agents. They made the whole experience so enjoyable for us. With their endless explanations, reassuring messages and down to earth voice notes. They swooped in and created the most beautiful photos and video of our house and the surrounding area which made our house feel so human. Meaning our potential buyers could really imagine making this space and area their home. The sale was almost stress free because of Pete’s amazing ability to communicate with not just us but the entire chain. He picked up everyone else’s slack and worked tirelessly to ensure that our busy day to day lives with full time jobs and two babies weren’t impacted by the selling process.
