We recently purchased a property via Venture Properties. The purchase, through no fault of Venture, was drawn out and complicated and took a long time to complete. Throughout the whole proceedings the staff at Venture were first class and they went over and above what could be expected in order to assist us with our purchase. Our main points of contact were Grace and Carl who were both outstanding in their customer service. They both did their utmost to push the sale along and were a vital point of contact between ourselves, the vendor and both sets of solicitors. We thank Venture Properties for their exceptional service and would not hesitate to deal with them in the future.

Mediocre experience with venture, never had an issue except when I was moving out this was handled by the landlords personal secretary, I found this process to be horrendous, despite the property being re decorated on my move out and the house being cleaned from top to bottom including the carpets cleaned I was appalled to find I had been charged for apparently leaving the house a mess, having taken photos of my house when I left to prove what I said was true I won the argument and had my deposit paid back by DPS, but I was told to go ahead and have the lock repaired as it had sealed and wouldn’t open, being a fire hazard it needed doing promptly so I was instructed to call a repair man and get a quote and let them know how much it would be, I did that, gave them the quote the landlord then stated to have the work done and he would pay the invoice, however having worked with this landlord before the locksmith I hired refused to do the work unless it was paid the same day, the landlord said he was out of the country but could I pay for it and I would be reimbursed, I was never reimbursed infact a week later the landlord refused point blank to pay me back. I was literally scammed out of £360, that’s a lot of money if you are a single working mother, I had a lot of health issues ongoing at the time, and the stress from the landlord made my treatment a lot harder than I believe it would have been before, I understand venture aren’t to blame but when renting from a letting agent you assume you are protected from these type of problems, I would be wary of this if letting from venture properties but other than that they are definitely one of the top letting agents in Darlington I’ve had worse experiences with letting agents in this area unfortunately most don’t seem to address any issues but venture do promptly try to resolve any issues. after I handed my notice they were a nightmare, would use them again they aren’t the worst letting agent I’ve come across in Darlington
