I would like to say many many thanks to Katherine Quinton for all her help in dealing with us in the buying of 11 Wylam Avenue, she went above and beyond in the prompt action in aiding us sorting out our financial proof etc, she was very friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for her, also all the other ladies in the shop were very friendly and courteous too, making it pleasant experience in what is a usually stressful experience, thanks to all concerned.

Whilst the experience with the staff at…

Whilst the experience with the staff at the Marton branch was good, as far as we were concerned the iamsold team were part of the bigger team and our experience with them was frustrating. Initially we were told that the auction process would take up to 56 days. The initial offer was accepted on 9/1/24. Completion did not take place till 23/4/24, 103 days later. The delay cost us financially due to the changes in CG tax. We later found out that the buyer wanted to purchase as a business that was not even registered till the end of January. This was the reason for the excessive delay. The communication throughout from iamsold was poor with emails from our solicitor often not being responded to. Unfortunately this reflects on your business as this is who we signed the contract with.

Having used Smith and Friends in Darlington a number of times I would highly recommend them. We particularly liked their style of marketing and their adverts on Rightmove definitely stand out from the crowd. The photographs are of a very high standard and information is presented in a clear and concise fashion. The sales team were very proactive in order to achieve a sale and kept us informed at all times. The excellent service continued with Joy in sales progression. Overall pleased with the service throughout from Darlington smith & friends when selling my home. Stand out service was from Joy during sales progression, despite other delays she constantly kept me updated, chased all parties, was extremely responsive and approachable. Unfortunately communication wasn’t as great during a period of Joy being off however I couldn’t compliment the service from her more - made a stressful process much easier.
