This is the first time i have used Carvers for a sale and i wouldn't hesitate in using them again and recommending them to friends and family. I have not sold a property for 28 years, hence i was a little nervous about letting strangers into my home. But from the moment i met Sonya Watson i felt relaxed and confident about going ahead and putting my property on the market. Sonya is very professional and clearly she is an expert in this field. This shone through from the get go. I was also impressed with the pictures that she had taken to put the house up for sale. I was able to achieve the best possible price for my property and i feel that this was due to the quality of the photographs. The entire process of what is always a stressful time was made so much easier due to the incredible staff at Carvers in Darlington. Sonia Walton came out to the house and did the valuation for us. She was both professional and her knowledge and accuracy of the market was second to none. She offered advice and couldn’t have been friendlier. The house sold in a matter of days and the team were great on the telephone helping to arrange viewings and giving us feedback. Once the offer was agreed Val Cheesborough was our point of contact and was such a lovely, personable, friendly voice in an extremely nervous period of our lives. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she provided regular updates and advice. She is a credit to the office. We have just completed that well known journey 'selling a house, and what a journey it was. Callette and her team kept in touch and advised us throughout the 'selling the house' part. When the first sale fell through they supported and encouraged us. Every member of the sales team was professional and helpful. When the house sold for the second time our main contact at Carvers was Val. Again, there was a full team in the sales progression department who were extremely helpful and professional but Val was our main contact. Val guided us through what turned out to be a very long and drawn out process (not through any fault of the buyers, Carvers or ourselves). She was always at the end of the phone with her advise and support. She really did go the extra mile. This was our 3rd house sale now with Carvers over the last 15 years. From the moment we had our valuation with Sonia, to the finalisation of our sale with Laura and Val chasing each step through we have wanted for nothing in the service we have received. We got first rate advice from Sonia at the very start of our journey, she knows the local market inside and out and is a true expert in her field. This meant our house was not only marketed at the optimum price point for the area, but the photos were captured perfectly and really showed the house off to its true potential. The result was we sold for asking price in just 2 days to our first viewer. Sonia told us she would be able to sell our property for its true value and she was 100% on the money - we shouldn’t have expected anything less! There is never anything that is too much trouble for the team. They are ALWAYS friendly, extremely professional and always willing to help. I seriously would not recommend and advise to go elsewhere. We had nothing but grief when selling our property. Val who was assigned as a sales negotiator was incompetent and lied throughout the sale. This meant the sale took 6 months from accepting an offer to the sale falling through. Something which could of been avoided if we were kept informed. Val was caught out lying on many occasions and didn’t have our true interest at heart. We were severely let down and disappointed with the service we received by Val and the Manger Henry. We will never use them again.

I selected Carvers to market the sale of my property after a recommendation from my parents who have used Carvers previously. Henry Carver attended my property promptly at an agreed date and quickly developed the sales information to a high standard, ready for promotion through their website and RightMove. After one day on the market the property had significant interest and within 4 days a sale had been agreed. I would highly recommend Carvers for residential sales.
