We went with brown and merry to sell our house because they came up as the best estate agents in Hemel with a fast turn around. When it came to selling, viewings were limited, but nevertheless the house sold because we didn’t want to loose out on the property we wanted. Thereafter, communication was limited. No updates, no phone calls, no one bothered to call us back. Any update on our sale was coming from our purchase estate agents. Overall, really poor service from brown and merry and really unprofessional. We have sold our house and moved into our new house but the overall experience was not pleasant. Did not make us feel comfortable or reassurance us in any kind of way.

Brown & Merry sold our house after a very messy break up with no communication between myself and my ex other than a solicitor. Brown & Merry assisted in getting the house sold under very difficult and some what frustrating circumstances. They made it as smooth as possible from start to finish. I can't thank Kevin, Tom and Jamie enough for their professionalism, understanding and integrity throughout the whole process. As first time buyers the whole house purchasing process was something very alien and daunting to both me and my partner. Naz from our first appointment took the time to sit down with us and walked step by step through the whole process making it all make sense but at the same time taking time to answer any questions that we have. If you ever wondered why your property is taking a while to find a tenant, it’s probably due to the incompetency of Steven and Chloe. We were in the middle of discussing start terms with the landlord through Chloe, but during the few days of email exchange Chloe went on leave without giving us a heads up or letting her colleague know about the situation. Called the agency and Steven picked up, he said Chloe didn’t pass anything info over but he will find out for us. Steven never called us back. Chloe came back a few days after to say landlord has agreed, but it was too late. In the end we chose to sign for another apartment instead.

Asked 5 times to be taken off there email list as I bought a place but they keep sending me spam emails. Also when I did go on 1 viewing with them the photos looked okay for the property but when i went there was mold everywhere, dead bugs and burn marks in the carpet. Wish I was given the heads up before going.

Went with them as they offered a 1 month contract and the salesman was very convincing. Put our house on the market for too high a price, even though we asked them to go in closer to all the other valuations we had. Photos were not great and neither was the brochure. Had a some interest and a few viewings, but not once did they negotiate and get an offer. Stuck with them for 1 month and then went with another agent. They were much more professional and hungry for the sale. We sold within 3 days, and are moving in the next week :)

Brown & Merry have been an absolute disaster to deal with. We trusted them to manage our property and instead were left with tenants who caused serious damage to our home. Rather than taking responsibility or helping us put things right, they turned their back on the situation and acted as if nothing had happened. The lack of accountability and basic customer care is shocking. If you value your property and want peace of mind, I would strongly advise avoiding them.
