GoogleTraumatic experience- I’ve phoned them up saying I would be late by 2 days with my rent payment as I’m abroad and they’ve sent me a termination of contract as a reply. Not to mention they refused to send me my contract from this year as it was extended so I’ve only got a contract for one year which would appear as if I was homeless for a year even though I have been clearly paying my bills and council tax! This company is a fraud!!

GoogleI am writing this as I've been extremely impressed with the service I've received from Streets Ahead, Croydon and - in particular - Catherine Wood. Catherine has provided first class service and support, helping me to sift and search for places. She keeps in touch, she listens to what I say I like and (using what I say) she regularly sends out ideas for places that she thinks I may be interested in seeing. When she arranges viewings she is punctual, sends reminders on the day and on occasions where the viewing has been cancelled she has made sure I've been informed way ahead of time. On a personal level she is also friendly, open, out-going and nice. Streets Ahead in general come across as a very organised outfit. They have been a dream to deal with plus its not often you get service / assistance at a level that Catherine has provided. As I say, I'm really impressed and I strongly recommend.

GoogleWorst experience ever. From day one of me making an offer on a flat to rent and paying the holding fee, it was nothing but hassle. They obviously don't communicate within their team as I would receive phone calls from 3 different people, telling me different things. The referencing and credit check were complete within 2 days - I received a call from the company running the checks telling me everything was perfect and we were good to go. However Streets Ahead were telling me otherwise. On the day we were due to move into the flat, we received a phone call. This is while we were driving on the motorway to Brighton to collect my boyfriend's stuff. Telling us that we wouldn't be able to move into the flat today because it hadn't been cleaned... We were later told that it was because the tenants hadn't moved out. So many lies and confusion. The next day they said we could move in - we turned up and the flat was filthy and still hadn't been cleaned. They said we would not be able to move in until around 10pm that night. All this drama left a bad taste and we withdrew from the deal. WORST AGENCY EVER. They completely messed up what was meant to be a fun time for my boyfriend and I.

During last few years I have been dealing with different estate agents but I found Streets Ahead to be the best -- in particular their Lower Addiscombe Road office. The team maintains highest professional standards and they really work hard for their clients. To start with, Patrick who did my property valuation was very knowledgeable and honest and gave me useful advice. With the property going for sale in the market, Jennifer,Eve and Harley did a fantastic job and they were always available whenever I needed them for any questions etc. After I accepted the offer, Saphire handled the progressing of sale with 10/10 service standard. We had few issues during the sale progress, which could delay matters severely but with Sapphire's professional approach and effort we completed on time. Many thanks and looking forward to continue doing business with you !

GoogleJust wanted to say a huge thanks to the Team at Streets Ahead for helping us through the process of acquiring our new home. Keisha had great local knowledge and Ashley's calming yet enthusiastic approach helped quell immediate concerns during the viewing process - exactly what you want when upping sticks to a completely new area. Once our offer was accepted, Saphire did a brilliant job moving things along; keeping us up to the minute with developments on the vendors side. Easily an overall five-star service if not for some awkward welcomes and forced smiles at reception.

GoogleABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE !!! Beware of these DODGY people - I was ROBBED AT THE PROPERTY I was renting due to their negligence to maintain it and replace the balcony door, which the burglar has used to break into the house !! After I told them I'm moving out, they've arranged a viewing behind my back, inviting 10 people who walked around and touched my stuff - I've had a hidden CCTV recording !! At last they have arranged a check out without letting me know over the Easter Bank Holiday while I was moving out, unable to be present at it !! Then they said they will charge me for the broken balcony door that they've previously promised to fix - WHAT A LAUGH !! I wish to all the people I've dealt with within this agency to rot in hell - hope that Karma gets you and turns your life into a sick nightmare as you deserve it; people like you shouldn't have a right to breathe.

GoogleI am absolutely thrilled with the experience I had with Streets Ahead in Addiscombe. I was very particular about what i wanted to buy but Marina convinced me to step out of my comfort box and i ended up buying something i would never have thought id consider. Her knowledge of the area was unbelievable and i felt completely relaxed and at ease when dealing with her. After my offer was accepted i was left in the care of Robyne the Sales Progressor who's guidance and constant reassurance was very comforting, i was so nervous and both her and Marina always had the right thing to say, here i am 5 weeks later all moved in and extremely happy. I would not hesitate to recommend them and i will certainly be returning when i come to sell. Thank you ladies, you're amazing! x

GoogleHad an excellent experience with Marina Steel. We only met once on a viewing but she listened to my wants and needs from a property. She promised to email me the following day with some she had in mind and totally delivered, she had clearly tailored to what I needed rather than the approach that other agents often take. So much so that in that very email of properties tailored to my requirements, was the one I would go on to buy. So thank you for finding me my first home Marina! :)

FacebookIf I could give it a 0 star I would ! An absolute nightmare of an agency to deal with from a tenant perspective. Right from the beginning when I rented - issues , lack of contract in place literally until 2 days before moving in I didn’t know if I actually secured the place. Head of lettings didn’t even bother to let me know what is going on, it was me constantly chasing and trying to find out what is going. The real saga started however upon vacating property. Various agents arranging viewings of the property without prior arranging with me, random viewings at 8 pm without agreeing upon. To the point when the guy who was meant to do the check out never turned up and nobody bothered to inform me. The attitude of staff there is another story , it’s almost like they’re doing you a favour ! I was told to come to their offices to drop off the keys or send it via recorded delivery (on my expense!) after being stood up by their staff. Now I’m sure getting a deposit back will turn out to be another mayhem ! Please avoid them at all cost ! Not worth the stress ...
