My husband and I came over from Bournemouth over the past weekend in search for a property to rent. Billie was just amazing and took the time out to show us a few properties. We eventually chose one of them and was thrilled that our trip to Croydon was indeed a successful one. She was very knowledgeable and informative about the areas and professional at all times. I recently purchased a property through Streets Ahead. The upside was that the property was in the perfect location and perfect size. I found Streets Ahead overall like any other Estate Agent. Harley was good at his work of showing us the property around. However, I would have expected the company to notify us when the property was broken into by squatters between the offer and exchange stage. I felt that Sapphire King Harris was seller focused, although her assistance at the exchange and completion stage was good due to a very bad solicitor I had. Perhaps it would have been better for estate agents to look at the buyer's perspective. In the end the seller was definitely the winner and Streets Ahead on its commission. But in the end, I got a great property with an okay service which balances the stars I have rated.

Laziest agency I have seen EVER. From the letting agents to property management agents to the accout department, they are all slow to responses as soon as you moved out. It takes them forever to process a deposit refund. I moved out middle of July 2024 and as of today, the end of Auguest I still have not received my deposit refund back. One day they said the property manager who was responsible for my account left their company and they didn't know I moved out. Execuse me? How poorly their management have to be to let such a situation happened? Shouldn't their manager of the property management apartment forseen all the handover to been done smoothly when someone left the company and have all their existing accounts been taking care of? They needed the tenant to informed them they have moved out instead of them reaching out to tenant before the lease expired. The other day they said they hadn't booked the move out check clerk to do the inventry check so they couldn't do anything. So I wait another week until they booked the clerk. When the clerk is done and have the report. They said they needed to wait the landlord approval that the report. When the landlord agreed the report was good. They said they need to book a professional cleaning before they can release the deposit. Oh, Hello? Shouldn't they have told me a cleanning is needed to be booked the same moment they told me they needed to do an inventry check? Week after week after week. Everytime I have to call them to learn the progress they made as they never response to your emails. And everytime I called, they would give you another new execuse why they couldn't release the deposit. No need to say they could never provide a date, or a correct time frame when I can have my deposit to be released. Before you sign the teneacy agreement, they gave you 2-3 days to make the deposit. When your lease expires, they will take forever to give you your money back. That's not so fair, innit?

First I expressed my wish online and after the company official got some information from me, he did not explain the refusal to give me the house. After I contacted several times they said they will not provide homes for adults. Contact only non-adults. Asking for house rent at Streets ahead is an unnecessary task. How can parents be brought in in a country where only students are admitted? The student visa is issued only after submitting the documents that you have enough money to stay and study in this country. However, they refuse to provide a house to stay. People coming on student visa and PSW are wasting their time asking these kind of companies for house rent. They will not even get another house as an alternative arrangement. Thank you.

Our house sale started in the New Year 2015 and after 'interviewing' several estate agents, we decided on Streets Ahead because of the professional and experienced manager, Patrick Donnelly who gave us great advice from the start. Streets Ahead don't have the cheapest commission rates - but we felt that it was fair value for money (except the surprise "plus VAT" at the end, which should have been made extra, extra clear at the start and perhaps repeated along the way.) Our house sale and purchase were not without problems and we were part of a 6-house chain. However, Streets Ahead, especially Sapphire King-Harris were efficient and very persistent in pursuing documents and chasing the relevant parties. The chain held together and we completed in July 2015. We are very happy to recommend Streets Ahead and will definitely approach them again with future business.

From the outset Patrick was confident about the sale of my property and at the price I wanted. The viewings quickly followed and an excellent offer was made. If you are looking to buy a property, I would recommend Streets Ahead and specifically the agent Jennifer Vergerson. Jenny has been extremely helpful, attentive and professional. There was not a day that didn't go by when we didn't receive a call from Jenny. She was always there to give advise and knew exactly what we were looking for in terms of property type. She always sounds so happy and cheerful and has a very positive and refreshing attitude which we needed when our search was getting us down. I'd like to thank Jenny for all the help that she has given to us and believe that she should be personally awarded for all her efforts because she works so hard and in my opinion, goes above and beyond her role. Streets Ahead Addiscombe provided a completely seemless selling process. The efficiency from valuation to exchange was superb. I must however mention Saphire King-Harris. She has been a rock through the process and went above and beyond in chasing up the chain and finding out what was happening when the estate agents I was buying off as they were extremely poor and non-communicative. Saphire stepped into their role unduly to progress the whole sale across the complete chain. Although I haven't bought my property through Streets Ahead, I think it's right to offer credit where credit is due. Excellent buying service. They found me a nice house that matched my requirements quickly. They were also helpful arranging access for my surveyors and inspectors to ensure the house was in good order. I especially liked the text reminders with full addresses sent to me before viewings. They are are a nice friendly team. Saphire King-Harris was superb at liasing with the owner, tenant and myself to ensure that the correct paperwork and evidence was prepared and set up so that I could take over the tenancy safely. She liased with the solicitors as well to push things along. She was on the phone daily with me and understood due to my busy job that I could not always answer the phone but ensured that I could always speak to her when I called her. We worked with Streets Ahead on the purchase of a property and the experience was mixed but overall positive. On the positive side, Saphire was extremely helpful and efficient in the handling of the conveyancing, and often unblocked delays where the solicitor was failing to take control of the process. Our negotiations with the vendor on the sale price (via Streets Ahead) was less positive and I felt we could have been supported more vigorously when the vendor refused to contribute fairly to some substantial house repair costs and when the agreement on white goods was altered significantly at a late stage. Overall, however, I found the service efficient and friendly.
