I left a review:By far the worst estate agents I've ever dealt with. The degree of unprofessionalism they display is horrific and I regret ever renting with them. My partner and I have been renting from the 1st of December and have had nothing but trouble from them. It's remarkable how, before I signed the lease, I was pestered with calls and repeated emails urging me to rent a property with Streets Ahead. As soon as we signed and handed over our deposit, we heard nothing more from them. We were constantly passed from person to person when we tried to enquire further with regards to our moving in. When we eventually received the keys to the property we discovered that the house was in an utterly disgusting state. It was evident that NOTHING had been cleaned. The toilet seat was completely broken, ELEVEN lightbulbs needed to be replaced. There were clumps of hair on the floor, congealed food glued to the fridge and unwanted junk (including a pair of dirty socks, thanks) that the previous tenants left.We immediately wrote a detailed letter outlining everything that was broken/required repair and requested that the house be cleaned to habitable standards as we were due to move in that weekend. We heard... nothing. The next day we tried to call the office three times. Each time we were told that our property manager - Kelly Alleyne - was on another call, but would return our call as soon as she was free. We heard... nothing. We then went to the office the following day (in the middle of trying to move) to speak to the manager, Kunal Patel. He certainly made all the appropriate noises, claimed Kelly was off sick the day before (?!?!?!?!?) but she would respond to us the next week. No apology was made for the state of the property, no remuneration offered. I did indeed receive a message from Kelly as promised (I have come to learn, this is a miracle) assuring me she would call later. SPOILER ALERT. She did not call. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. We have been emailing and calling for TWO MONTHS trying to sort out the most basic of amenities. It took six weeks to receive an inventory checklist which was promised to us the day we moved in. We eventually received compensation for the mess we found the property in, but all the repair work they promised would take place as not occurred. We currently have no lights in the bathroom or lounge and barely any light in the kitchen because we are waiting for repair work to be taken out by Streets Ahead. However, as Kelly as ignored the last six emails we have sent, I doubt this will happen. AVOID STREETS AHEAD AT ALL COSTS** Helpful Hint ** If you are a current tenant renting through Streets Ahead, and have trouble with them, contact the landlord directly and make them aware of the situation. They're an appalling company who don't deserve any business.

Didn’t end up renting from them as I found a property that was more suitable but the actual experience with them was my favourite among letting agents. Looking for a property can be stressful but the letting agent (Lex was his name) made the whole experience light and enjoyable which was a welcome change from the rest.

GoogleStreets Ahead have been brilliant in helping me through a stressful sale and purchase process. I found that everyone worked so well as a team. Jason Paris was fantastic at giving me the vision to proceed with the sale and inspiring my trust that the team would be able to help me find the perfect house to move to. Harley Perrio, Eve Livesley, Marina Steel and Ashley Duncan worked tirelessly with the viewings of my old property. Marina and Kisha Kirkwood helped to identify the perfect new property for me and Eve played great support by showing me a number of other options. Once all offers were accepted for the sale and purchase in stepped Saphire King-Harris, the dedicated sales progressor, who took the process through to the end in a very calm and organised manner. She as able to get all parties in the chain to agree, to push the solicitors to speed up their process and just to keep me informed when hopes were waning! I had bought the property that I sold through Streets Ahead and I am so pleased that I retained them for the sale as well as purchased another property through them. The have proven themselves to be highly committed to customer satisfaction and I look forward to working with them in the future.

GoogleLaziest agency I have seen EVER. From the letting agents to property management agents to the accout department, they are all slow to responses as soon as you moved out. It takes them forever to process a deposit refund. I moved out middle of July 2024 and as of today, the end of Auguest I still have not received my deposit refund back. One day they said the property manager who was responsible for my account left their company and they didn't know I moved out. Execuse me? How poorly their management have to be to let such a situation happened? Shouldn't their manager of the property management apartment forseen all the handover to been done smoothly when someone left the company and have all their existing accounts been taking care of? They needed the tenant to informed them they have moved out instead of them reaching out to tenant before the lease expired. The other day they said they hadn't booked the move out check clerk to do the inventry check so they couldn't do anything. So I wait another week until they booked the clerk. When the clerk is done and have the report. They said they needed to wait the landlord approval that the report. When the landlord agreed the report was good. They said they need to book a professional cleaning before they can release the deposit. Oh, Hello? Shouldn't they have told me a cleanning is needed to be booked the same moment they told me they needed to do an inventry check? Week after week after week. Everytime I have to call them to learn the progress they made as they never response to your emails. And everytime I called, they would give you another new execuse why they couldn't release the deposit. No need to say they could never provide a date, or a correct time frame when I can have my deposit to be released. Before you sign the teneacy agreement, they gave you 2-3 days to make the deposit. When your lease expires, they will take forever to give you your money back. That's not so fair, innit?

GoogleFirst I expressed my wish online and after the company official got some information from me, he did not explain the refusal to give me the house. After I contacted several times they said they will not provide homes for adults. Contact only non-adults. Asking for house rent at Streets ahead is an unnecessary task. How can parents be brought in in a country where only students are admitted? The student visa is issued only after submitting the documents that you have enough money to stay and study in this country. However, they refuse to provide a house to stay. People coming on student visa and PSW are wasting their time asking these kind of companies for house rent. They will not even get another house as an alternative arrangement. Thank you.

GoogleI recently started working with Streets ahead and I found them very helpful especially Karen Sheldon from the Croydon branch. She is very helpful and well organised as she planned our viewings really well within our budget and preference and made good use of our day as we were not form Croydon. She helped us find our property and is currently working with us to complete the process. I would recommend this estate agent for people looking for a good customer service.

GoogleEarlier in the year we rented through Streets Ahead in Addiscombe, and we have now just completed on a purchase of a property also through Streets Ahead. Patrick assisted us with the rental side of things, and Saphire-King Harris (Sales Progressor) helped with our purchase. The purchase was very complicated (involving multiple people in the chain) and it took nearly 10 months to complete. During this time, Saphire was fantastic in keeping us updated, and she coordinating our purchase with absolute professionalism and we would like to thank her personally. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with - cool, calm, and professional - particularly during the latter stages of the purchase which became quite stressful as everything had to fall into place on one particular date. Without Saphire's help our purchase may have easily fallen through, or dragged on for many more months. Streets Ahead are lucky to have her! When / if we come to sell our property in the future, we will definitely use Streets Ahead.

I wish other estate agents in the area would adopt these roles! I would especially like to sing the praises of Mary Jane Taylor, a true professional who provided 1st class communication and empathy through a stressful time. Her dedication to make our purchase go through as smoothly as possible was second to none. GoogleWe recently sold our property through Streets Ahead. We were very happy with their service. Initially I dealt with Harley Perrio who was very fast to put the flat on the market for us. After which Saphire King-Harris did the follow up. I was very pleased with the customer service. Communication was excellent. Saphire was always available and continually in contact with me with updates and follow up. The buyers were very tiresome with numerous ongoing queries, however Saphire handled and sorted out all the issues. I found Saphire to be very efficient with the way she kept everyone informed and pushed things through us. I would like to thank both Saphire and Harley for all their help in the sale of our property. I am now selling our second property which I am happy for Streets Ahead to sell for me.
