We had a really lovely experience with the agent Bradley who showed us the property. Despite us arriving about 10 minutes late due to an emergency, he was incredibly understanding and kindly waited for us without any pressure. He was very friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable throughout the viewing. He took the time to talk us through the next steps, introduced us to the right person for proceeding, and even walked with us while having a nice chat. We’d also like to thank Ethan, who clearly talked us through the next steps for proceeding, including filling out the forms. Overall, it was a very positive and smooth experience with genuinely lovely people. Highly recommended.

Maya has been more than helpful and provided her expertise of the properties when we initially liaised. Her professionalism was prominent as she thoroughly explained what made the properties stand out and highlighted all the positives that worked in our favour. To us that meant that she pays great attention to detail and memorises her clients preferences and does her best to match those to whatever is available on the market. She also proved to be very knowledgeable in regards to the area itself and shared all the essential tips that one would need in regard to parking, traffic, transport links etc. overall one of the best viewing experiences that would convince one to go ahead with streets ahead due to the great attention to detail.

Arthur has been extremely helpful…

Arthur has been extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Initially we ended up a bit late to our first viewing but we went straight to the 2nd property instead and there were no issues. He drove us to the next property which was very nice, while being conversational and telling us about shortcuts to the station and other useful tips. After the 2nd viewing he dropped us off near the station. We ended up not going for any of the properties however he has already since sent us a lot more links to houses which are more suited for our budget.

It's all started from a first day of moving in, when the room wasn't cleaned and when more and more problems came out including fire risk alarm beeping and no one bothered to answer the requests from 6 tenants. It's three months after I've left and still didn't get my deposit back, no answer to multiple emails. Also the claim put through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme is left without any answer for over a month. They will do everything to get your money and then forget about you. Disgraceful company, avoid the future problems. Thornton Heath branch and Head Office. Looks like it's time to do legal action.

Terrible experience. I recently moved into a property managed by Streets Ahead, and the experience has been frustrating. Since moving in, several issues have been raised, yet there has been a severe lack of urgency in addressing them. Despite multiple follow-ups, we are yet to receive a proper timeline for repairs. The property was handed over to us in a poor state, one of the bedrooms has a patched-up wall from a previous leak, which a part remains covered with tape, making it unfit for setting up furniture. The bathroom light is out due to an electrical fault from a prior leak, and we were told this was noted before we moved in, yet it hasn’t been fixed. Additionally, the washing machine, which is the landlord’s responsibility, has not been replaced or repaired, leaving us unable to do laundry for weeks. The windows in the first bedroom are fogged up due to a sealant issue, making the room colder than it should be, and some window handles were faulty, with only some fixed while others left. The agency has been nonchalant, failing to provide clear communication or a timeframe, which has made settling in unnecessarily stressful. When we ask for clarification, they vaguely state what they are and aren’t responsible for, without properly listing what will actually be fixed. Property was viewed twice with tenants inside who had furniture covering some of these issue. However the inventory done before the previous tenants moved out, street ahead was noted of the issue but they did not fix it, for reasons best known to them. This is unacceptable for new tenants. We expected a livable space and responsible management, but instead, we have had to chase basic repairs and deal with delays. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience.

We had two viewings today with this estate agency and both failed. The first one they did not have the keys and did not bother to call ahead to advise of this so was a wasted journey during working hours. Just now we had one scheduled for 4pm and again waited for 10mins and no one showed or called us. This is unacceptable on so many levels and will not want to work with such an organisation or business. Especially in current housing market we would expect better and proactive communication and actually wanting to show houses and staying on top of interested enquiries. Not good and highlights little care to customer service.
