From the first day I spoke to Magdalena Sadkowska on the phone, she demonstrated professionalism and efficiency. Magdalena was calm and explained everything to me about their properties and offers and gave me advice. She also suggested a broker advisor. Whenever I emailed or called, she was available or called straight away when she was free to talk. Magdalena shows calmness, patience and professionalism at all times. Very caring, helpful, knowledgeable and available all the time. I wish the world was surrounded by people like Magdalena, we would live in a better place.

Very happy to have found Townends Estate Agents, I had good communication with the team, specially with Jonathan that help me alot during my search for a place to stay. Claire was instrumental and key to my purchase going through in time. I also want to thank Sophie for facilitating the sale in the end stages of completion. As a first time buyer, when you don't know the process, you want an estate agent to guide you through the process and chase the relevant people on your behalf and that's exactly what Townends did. They were the glue that held communication between all parties together. Claire went above and beyond by organising a secondary solicitor for me that was required at the 11th hour of my purchase and without that insider knowledge/contacts I don't think my sale would have gone through. My details passed on to an energy company without my consent

My energy contract was taken over by an energy company without my consent and without Informing me. When I challenged them, they said that my letting agent for the property in this case one of Stirling Ackroyd agents had given my details to a partnership that has an agreement with the energy company. I was not very happy about this as this energy contract transfer has caused issues for me. The letting agency obviously has this agreement. I found it shocking that they told this partnership the date that my flat was going to be empty and when to take over the energy supply without notifying me and without my express consent.This is very upsetting. Not sure I can trust them again.

Experienced and professional service with a complex portfolio

We have been clients of Stirling Ackroyd (with their letting service) for about two years, and they have been highly professional and knowledgeable. They have managed property issues in a timely fashion as they arise, including handling a complex refurbishment, transferring from a previous (and inept) managing agent, and some slightly difficult tenants. They are also on top of all of the relevant regulatory matters, and do everything in a legally correct manner (to the best of my limited knowledge). I would happily recommend their services.

Although I found a different property from the one Townsend showed me I have to say that I was really very impressed with how kind and patient and attentive Eimantas was. He was proactive in contact the landlord and honest in how I would make an offer. He also sent me follow up properties that were very close to my specification requirements would have happily rented through townsends but something with an earlier move in date came up.

He sent us a detailed list of properties that matched our preferences, and once we made a selection, he coordinated the visit.From there, the process became somewhat tedious as the reference company took longer than expected. Colin has been very professional and he helped us when we decided to leave the flat. One single big negative note from my side. The original contract they wanted us to sign included a clause that allowed them to subscribe a contract in our name with SPARK Energy. Despite the landlord said not to do so (and we signed a contract without that clause), the people from the main office created our account anyway with that supplier and we kept receiving bills despite having a regular contract with EON. From the central office they did nothing to help us fixing the mess they did; eventually we figured out that the meter ID number they gave to SPARK was wrong and, after they realized what kind of idiots they are, they cancelled the contract. We had to deal with this situation for more than 3 month. So this was not a problem with the guys in this office but with those in the main one.
