I've recently started renting from Foxtons. They are both the letting agent and the managing agent. I have never paid so much for such a bad service. None of the extractor fans work, my heating doesnt work, the curtain rods are bent and now one has fallen off & luckily no one got hurt because they have taken so long to resolve the issues. I'm wondering is this even legal?

I contacted ONE agent for a specific property viewing, and it has turned into a total nightmare. I am being hounded by at least FOUR different colleagues from this branch. The frequency is beyond unprofessional, I just received 2 calls in the span of 5 minutes.

As a landlord (don't hate me!) paying for a managed service, they tried to charge me £90 + vat to fix a meter door with two cable ties. This is typical, and I have to chase them repeatedly for everything. My tenants and I deserve better.

Google5-star public appreciation for Foxton for their great work. - Salonee Jamnadass, our mentor, and also their boss are very responsive, proactive and positive. Everything that was promised to us was delivered and more. My wife and I have been positively surprised with the property we rented ...6! stars. "Immaculate," just as we were promised. Considering our previous experiences also in St. Paul's, Tower Bridge, etc. frankly I didn't think such perfect properties existed in the UK. Supercompliments. - We finally got out of the clutches of our bad previous experience with another agency in Purley "Streets Ahed" which I assume is one of the worst companies a person can encounter, not only in the UK..

TrustpilotAppalling lack of transparency, 5 months of silence followed by an “ambush” claim
I had an incredibly unfair and unprofessional experience with the Foxtons Deposits Team. We moved out in October 2025, yet it took five months for any clarity regarding our deposit, a delay that felt like a tactical move to strip us of our right to provide counter-evidence.

I am a landlord. I had extremely bad experiences with Foxtons. Huge let down with very high fee and poor service. Always make false promises to the landlords and tenants alike and then backout once the tenancy goes through. Once they get their commision, they stop bothering with any problems arising.

Salonee showed me round several properties and when I decided on the one I wanted to let with my partner, she understood the urgency of our situation and made sure everything was done incredibly quickly. Dipan took over when Ten Degrees were doing referencing and ensured that the whole process was wrapped up very quickly. From viewing to move in was all completed within 3 days, which was exactly what we needed in a really stressful and urgent situation. Thank you so much Salonee and Dipan for making the process so smooth and easy to deal with. He is a superb negotiator and couldn't have asked for anyone else to go through this journey with. Our experience was made simpler as Emanuel went above and beyond to deliver us such lovely service. Cared about us, our views and more importantly the dream we were looking for in a house purchase. Jack's approach is warming, calming, professional and endearing. He is the consummate professional and everything is wrapped around the experience being as beneficial as possible for you. Jack's knowledge of the properties he shows provide history, back story and benefits of the area, these are such a benefit in shaping your thoughts. Nothing was too much for Jack even working around a crazy schedule he made it look easy. Ultimately within a few viewings we had found our dream home and from there on in Jack made it effortless for us even chasing solicitors, surveyors and a like to get it done to our timeline. We completed inside a mind boggling 8 weeks and could not have done it without Jack's support. We can only say how much we appreciated everything Jack did to help. GoogleMe and my partner just got our first ever flat, and doing it through Foxtons has made it so much easier. Our letting negotiator/agent was Salonee and she was very kind, super helpful and always kept us updated with everything. We are very very thankful to her for all of her help. From calling the office to book a viewing (it surprised me that they actually do viewings at 6pm and after that) all the way to moving in was just a very exciting and easy process. Overall the whole thing was really pleasant and smooth I would 10/10 recommend Foxtons, wether you’re first time renters or just simply looking to move somewhere else. Just to add another thing that we found really good as well: During the viewings we did not feel pressured into getting the property at all, and Salonee was super easy to talk to all the way through the process of renting and getting moved in. Our ‘moving in pack’ also had a lovely little card in it that was hand written by Salonee, which we appreciate as much as all her patience and help☺️PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
