I am so so so impressed with the Bairstow Eve George street branch. I had Toby Findlater as my estate agent and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better agent. He is professional , friendly warm and kept me posted at all times throughout my journey of buying my house. His response was swift and ensured all my needs and queries were catered to. On the occasion Toby wasn’t available his colleague Ashley would contact me who was also extremely efficient and reliable. What people describe as a worrying and stressful journey with purchasing a house for a first time buyer , Toby ensured it was the opposite. I could rely on his expertise and professionalism. I received an outstanding support from my very first phone call through to viewings and signing of tenancy agreement. Absolutely disgusting service!!! I moved in of May 2018 with all window handles broken on my 10th floor apartment and also all heaters broken in all communal areas, which meant there was a constant draught and I could not turn on the heating to compensate for it. This was reported on the day I moved in and after constant emails, many days Working from home so 5 different contractors could take a look and quote it was fixed in MID DECEMBER!!!! It was even a case of me turning up to their office on my day off just to get this escalated to Management, of which he did an awful job managing the situation. I have now moved out of the property but have not received an update or even receipt of the keys returned or anything in over 3 weeks. It has been a back and forth with them for an update on my deposit being returned and I have only been met with very very unprofessional emails from Mandy Cook and Sarah Mchelinney. They’re just the latest correspondence with Bairstow Eves and Countrywide but I have been met with unprofessionalism from ALL their employees being incompetent at customer service. This is absolutely ATROCIOUS and will now be a legal matter. Everything about this has been beyond stressful!!!!

I was constantly surprised by the tremendous cooperation and support that I received from the staff at Bairstowe Eves from the moment that I made an offer on the house I subsequently bought. I must single out Alex for special praise, always available on the phone, always imaginative and helpful, especially patiently standing by - and offering suggestions- as we spent 45 mins measuring the rooms for our rather large furniture. She is a star! But her colleagues all played their part, Ian, Richard, Ashley, all good. I felt every step of the way that they had their eye on the ball. I would recommend these agents highly.

I have been renting the property with Countrywide for almost 10 years, and I must express that the level of services I have always received from the team is exceptional. I started renting back in 2008 and my direct contact point was Stephen Christopher who always acknowledged/tried to resolve any issues I reported straight away. Recently I have been in contact with Nadine Watson who has also provided me the excellent services, especially during the time property required some major refurbs, where she managed the communication levels between the landlord and us all updated/ kept us informed and made this transition of construction works less inconvenient. Terrible service from this agent right from the beginning. Informed my property would sell quickly but after 5 weeks and an unimpressive amount of views, calls from the agent stopped after a viewing on a Saturday and coincidentally after I complained to the branch manager about the lack of speed in the sale process. Manager then had one of the sales personnel call me to apologise and then all of a sudden, more viewings appeared out of nowhere. I ditched them that day and appointed a new agent I quickly changed agent as I was incredibly disappointed with the service received from this so called large chain agent. Amateurs in my opinion. If you want to sell, use an agent who is honest with you.

YOUR DETAILS ARE NOT SECURE! My partner and I wanted to move into a beautiful flat that Bairstow Eves had found us. After agreeing all terms including the one that let our cat into the property after being told that it was not possible, I gave my card details over the phone to pay the holding deposit. I waited over night and the money had not left the account on the following morning. I called and asked what the problem was only to be told that the details were in a draw and the flat wasn't available. He was not aware of the difference between free hold and lease hold properties so after all, we were not allowed a cat - leaving us with no place to live after agreeing to move in within 10 days. Instead of calling me straight away, or instead of lying to me and his manager avoiding my calls, they decided to just pop my card details in an unsecured drawer in the office. Not only was I lied to and let down by this agent on numerous occasions, our finances were put at risk by their incapacity to treat every customer with respect and have the right procedures in place. Do not use this agent. You are at risk if you do.
