They will try to scam you as much as possible, I have never been treated as badly as i have with this agency. They will use every legal avenue to scam you and withhold your deposit from you. Please also read up on your rights as a tenant, they are not up to date on this and will use outdated laws against tenants. Emotionally draining tenants is their goal which explains the high turnover. Please rent elsewhere.

I have just moved out of a flat which I rented for several years through 1st Avenue in Croydon. I always had any issue dealt with promptly with no fuss. The staff are all helpful. I never had any cause to complain and I would recommend them, and use them again in the future.

Google1st avenue has no respect for the people who use there services i use to live there and they tried to keep all the deposit and they has the nerve to call me when tell me how they are on my side and I could not do anything but give them my acceptance to keep all the money I called the TDS the people who help you with problems like this i got more than half.i don't know who else they have done this to but from what I have heard it happens alot Be careful when dealing with 1st avenue Just incase they will try to act like they are on your side and they tired to help and if that don't work they will threaten

GoogleAbsolutely outrageous treatment to tenants wanting to leave a property. After cleaning and leaving our property to a better standard than which we received it we where stamped with over £650 bill even though the property was rented straight away after us leaving it! We even got charged for leaving items that belonged to the landlord in the property, basically getting told if there are no photos to prove this then nothing can be done! Do not deal with this company and try to seek property directly through a landlord as they are not professional ! Even after having problems with the door flying open on the 37th floor and having to basically beg the company to fix it in freezing cold temperatures this happened a week after moving in!NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleI will have a lot to say about my experience but I will just give an advise to the people who might sign with them (on tenants side). Have a good look of the wording they are using on the inventory and on how they are taking pictures, make sure they are taking clear pictures of any thing already used/damaged in the flat. I've neglected it as I never had issues and always had my deposit back, but they are something else with their 0 deposit scheme! You can't trust them, they will ripp you off at the end of you tenancy! Good luck.

GoogleI rented a flat in Tennyson Apartments, Croydon through the 1st Avenue Croydon team. The people were most helpful throughout the renting process, from online viewing until signing. They promptly responded to any questions I had regarding the new flat. The flat was handed over to me at an excellent condition. Furthermore, the team has been helpful with any maintenance issues that have occurred so far. They are dedicated to providing excellent services exclusively for the Saffron Central Square blocks of flats!

GoogleErron and Michelle helped me rent a flat in Saffron Central Square. They were able to offer me a virtual tour and an in-person tour once the tenant had moved out (due to Covid-19 restrictions). I was really impressed with how professional and courteous they were. They arranged for the flat to be repainted and some of the furniture replaced before my move and kept me up to speed with everything that was going on. Their referencing system was very efficient and easy to use. I would recommend 1st Avenue Croydon if you're looking to move into the area.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

I needed to move (after 3 years) ahead of my lease terms, Niamh communicated effectively and efficiently with my landlord keeping me informed the whole time and my exit went well with no issues.
