We used Banfield because they had been the selling agent when we bought the the house that we are now leaving. From the valuation right through to our exchange (we haven't completed yet) John and Fiona have been excellent. Their local knowledge and network saw John selling our house before it even made it to their website. More importantly, selling our first owned property we had never been part of a chain before. John and Fiona kept us advised throughout and chased other parties where it was needed. The communication and service has been fantastic and the personal service made us feel like we were in safe hands even when other parts of the buying/selling process were hanging. 10/10 will use again in the future.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

We are so lucky that the house we have just purchased was for sale through Banfield. To say their Estate agent John Mackenzie was outstanding is an understatement. John did the job that not only our own estate agent should have done, but everyone else's in the chain and even parts of the job solicitors should have been doing! John Is extremely hard working, committed and professional and on top of that just a really lovely person who quickly became everyone's 'go to' to answer any questions. We are so grateful for everything John has done and firmly believe we wouldnt be sitting in our beautiful new house right now if it wasn't for John. I had a viewing booked for 16:45, and arrived at 16:57. The estate agent wasn't there and I noticed a missed call from them. I was kindly allowed to leave work early to reach the appointment but unfortunately got delayed by traffic. The lady on the other end of the phone called the person who was supposed to be doing the viewing who had already left for the next one booked for 17:00. Unfortunately 2 things could of happened here: A. She didn't know how to use the phones mute/hold button B. The phone didn't have a mute button ...So to my delight I got to hear what was said about me. So thanks John but i'm not a "useless person", just a working professional with limited time who got stuck in traffic. I didn't phone because its ILLEGAL to do so while driving, and I was trying to get to the viewing as quickly as possible. And I wouldn't say I sounded "flaky" in our phone conversation the day before, I was trying to arrange something around my working hours that would be convenient for you also since you close at 17:00. I do question as to whether 15 minutes would be long enough for a viewing? Infact you would have had to leave earlier to reach the next appointment, so that would have given me about 5 minutes to look around a place I potentially want to live and to ask any questions. They proceeded to decide they'd rebook the appointment, which I was not offered by the lady, who told me I was almost "30 minutes late". So well done for your terrible customer service skills, you lost yourself someone who could have been a good reliable customer. I will give you 2 pieces of advice for free: 1. Either learn how to use the mute/hold button or get a phone which has one 2. Allow more time for viewings for potential tenants/buyers

Here’s an upgraded version of your note: --- I recently moved out of a property that I rented for over two years, which was fully managed by Banfield. When I initially moved in, I was provided with a house condition report that clearly documented the state of the property. The report highlighted several issues, including noticeable marks on the carpets, damage to the walls, aging wallpaper, and scratches and stains on the kitchen units and worktops. Despite these pre-existing conditions, I chose to rent the house, fully aware of its condition. During my tenancy, I went above and beyond by redecorating the property at my own expense. This effort was not only acknowledged but also approved by the landlord through the estate agent, who confirmed that the landlord was satisfied with the paintwork and improvements. However, upon moving out, I was deeply disappointed to discover that the landlord, with the support of Banfield, is attempting to charge me for the very same issues that were documented as pre-existing before I moved in. This is both unfair and unreasonable, as these damages were clearly identified in the initial condition report. This experience has left me questioning the fairness and transparency of Banfield’s property management practices. It is unjust to hold tenants accountable for issues that were present before their tenancy began, and I sincerely hope that future tenants are treated with greater fairness and integrity.

I’ve just bought a property through Banfield and was very impressed with them from start to finish. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional, and Paige in particular was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was always a joy to speak to. It’s a rarity these days to encounter someone so efficient and so lovely. I also had dealings with John and Fiona and thought highly of them too. They go the extra mile at Banfield. What a remarkable company!
