Worst interaction and customer care I…

Worst interaction and customer care I have ever experienced. I am a new landlord and decided to rent my property out. After a week or so I was told a couple and 1 family member had offered on my property. I was told they were 2 professionals tenants and the third tenant wouldn’t be referenced as she was pregnant and not working. I wanted professional tenants only but the estate agents were well aware I was pregnant myself and I feel they have made up a story based on my circumstances to play on my emotions and heart strings! I accepted the tenants based on the information I was presented. I later found out by the tenants themselves that they had no children and had never been pregnant, this was completely made up. The story I was told was completely fabricated by the estate agent Karun and Harry, they took advantage of me. A few months after the tenants had moved into the property I discovered from my neighbour that 6 people were living in the property and not the initial 3 that I was told. I spent over 20k refurbing my property and it’s very disheartening to know that the people that are renting it out are not the only persons living in it. I booked in an inspection with the tenants directly and I was shocked to see several mattresses in the living room and next to the beds in both bedrooms! There was also a piece of paper sellotaped to my recently new and painted bathroom door which read, rules of the bathroom. It was clear more than 3 persons were living at the property. My neighbours have provided my with cctv from their ring door bell and I’m shocked. The estate agents manage my property however the tenants text and call me when issuesarise sooo what exactly is the management fee that I’m paying for? I have made many complaints about Karun and Harry to the owners of the estate agents, countrywide however these complaints have landed on deaf ears! I have made a complaint about the above because it has and is causing me so much stress… Countrywide who own Bairstow Eves have responded to my complaint saying that the references was a misunderstanding on the estate agents part and apologising… No resolution offered! It wasn’t a misunderstanding, I questioned the referencing multiple times and each time I was assured. The referencing process is very strict with any estate agent so simply saying it was a misunderstanding is a lie! With regards to the extra persons living in my property, Bairstow Eves have said this wasn’t the case at the start of the tenancy. Despite them managing my property, they haven’t offered a resolution or told me what they are going to do to make things right! I have emailed them today informing them the tenants are in breach of their contact and the estate agents are not acting within my best interest! The customer service is awful at this estate agents and they continuously lie anyway they can to agree a deal! They do not take accountability for their mistakes and also have an excuse. There owners countrywide have not been helpful either. I’m currently obtaining legal advice and progressing this!! If you’re looking for an honest estate agent, I would urge you to read my review first!

They do a bare minimum so we ended up without a flat

I would give 0 stars if i could. We dealt with Stratford agency. Let me explain the situation. We found a flat to buy and unfortunately, the agency that published it was Bairstow eves.The first bad sign was that we waited for a man who should've shown us a property for 15 minutes (his name is Vasco Correia, just so you know the heroes by names) and after 3 calls to their call centre we were told to try to call the apartment number as he's already there. We've called a few times - failed. We managed to enter the building and get to the flat after a while. When Vasco opened the door we complained about the situation and that we'd been waiting for 20+ minutes to which he replied "so what? are you going to see the flat or not?". We were pissed with the attitude and the situation but had a look on a flat. We liked the flat so much and decided to make an offer (hadn't trusted our guts, unfortunately).The process took 6 months, each time we had to call them ourselves because otherwise, we didn't receive any updates from them and the seller. Our sales progression was Ellie Lynch (well, I would call her sales REgression). Every time she and her colleagues told us that they were doing their best but if it was true we wouldn't ended up being homeless. We've been telling her that our tenancy contract will end at the end of October since August and she didn't tell us that we should prolong it as the seller is looking for a new home herself and won't move out until she buys it. So we trusted them and ended up without a flat with all our stuff.I hate the day we've decided to proceed with this agency and the flat they listed. Hope everyone who's uncertain to work or not to work with Bairstow eves will choose not to work but to save their mental health and their money.

I recently sold my house with Bairstow and was very impressed, felt at ease, and became excited. At first Richard visited the house to give me a valuation. Instantly, he made me feel a little more settled as i was extremely anxious. He calmed me down and went through the process step by step. And sold the house within a week! Next was Claire, she was amazing! She constantly kept in touch and kept me focused on the sale. Gemma was also amazing with constant communication. The 2 were on the same page throughout and there was no need to go over everything over and over again. Jodie finalised the sale and she also had all the info passed from Claire and Gemma in a smooth transition. Thankyou all at Bairstow. If i ever move house again, these are the people for me. At a difficult time for us to prepare the house for sale, Bairstow Eves were the first agent we approached. From the very start Bairstow Eves were very professional and respectful of the situation and quickly assisted us with getting the house on the market. Gemma then took over the marketing and showing the house to prospective buyers and Gemma and the team always kept us informed of who was being shown through the house and at what time. We were soon able to receive an offer on the house, and we were informed throughout the process how things were moving along. Despite difficult times with COVID the sale completed, thanks to the professional team of Gemma, Jodie, and Claire. Definitely find a better estate agent

A few weeks ago I received a telephone call from a young member of staff at Bairstow Eves. He asked me if I was interested in selling my property. I told him no. I had bought it through them funnily enough and had just spent four months renovating it. He suggested I have a valuation despite my saying I didn’t want to sell. Eventually I agreed because I thought it would be good to see what it was worth now it had been renovated. Two text messages and a long and detailed email confirming that the manager was looking forward to meeting me at my property later that week at 12:30. She didn’t turn up and when I telephoned, I was informed that it was a desktop valuation, despite the fact that I had a an email telling me the valuation would be at my property. Having dealt with them when I bought the property and having them not bothering to respond to my email to express my dissatisfaction that they hadn’t bothered to come and do the valuation, I would never ever deal with them again. I think they are a shabby organisation and there are much better estate agents to deal with.

My past experiences of using estate agents for house purchases or sales have never been positive. That is until now. I have brought a few properties from These estate agents, their staff is very professional and always get back to you. Claire (manager) have also spoken to me on a number os occasions, again down to earth and great at customer services skills. I have used Slak (Mortgage advisor at the the branch) for mortgage purposes, he provides excellent service. He has been really honest, clear and transparent about mortgage applications. He is so professional, always answers calls or gets back if he can’t for some reason. Although I am sure he is busy but he never lets that effect the service he provides to individual client as I have experienced this. Dishonest communication and lack of transparency.

We had a deeply dishonest experience with Ramona at Bairstow Eves Coventry regarding our attempted purchase of 2 Little Fields. After our Level 3 Survey identified a dangerous, unsupported chimney stack, Ramona spent weeks pretending to be 'on our side' while navigating our concerns. In reality, it was a calculated 'double game' designed to keep us on the hook while the branch facilitated a backup buyer behind our backs.
