The Bairstow Eves team in Radford gave us a market price for selling our property that was higher than their competitors but also managed to achieve slightly higher than this in the end. They knew the area well and so were well placed to advise us on the right price. They were also willing to agree a fee structure that we felt best incentivised them to achieve as good a price as possible, which in the end worked well for both sides.

I don’t just make reviews unless I have to. But a family member has their house for sale with B&E. and quite frankly from what I keep hearing it’s not a very good service at all. I also did my own way of contacting as a perspective buyer. 5 times I made contact with the local branch and not once have made contact over the property I was enquiring about. It also concerns me that there is no main number to call them apart from the local branches which if they are not providing a good service it will be there word against yours over any complaints to head office. So they have eliminated anyway of taking an issue higher than the branch. Which you need to ask do you want sell or buy a house from this organisation ? Also my family member had their house reduced without any written confirmation of them taking this action. So it would appear they can do pretty much what they like in terms of when it suits them rather than what suits there customers.

Total failure in Hucknall

Total failure. Rude and unprofessional staff. Very few viewing of the house. Promised communication failed to happen as the norm. Poor quality photographs of house and near illiterate description of house and garden. Agents appear to be in league with the one buyer to get a cut down price so the house could be rented out by them. If you want to sell a home in Hucknall try another agent.

I have a buy to let property in Barking bought from and managed by the local Bairstow Eves office. I'm VERY unhappy with the service I receive from them. I pay a monthly service charge and yet get no service.Every month, the rent paid to Countrywide by Housing Benefit on my tenant's behalf goes astray. Every month it takes weeks of emails to trace the money despite my tenant sending a reference number. Housing Benefit have invited Countrwide to sign up to the landlord's portal so they know exactly when the rent is being paid. I have no idea whether Countrywide have signed up because neither they nor the Barking office respond to my emails. The January rent has not yet been paid to me. This is causing problems with mortgage payments, service charges etc. I'm certain my tenant is not the only person in receipt of Housing Benefit that Countrywide deal with and yet they seem to have no system for dealing with what is after all public money.When I tried to submit this on your feedback form, this is what I gotWe're sorry, but something went wrong.If you are the application owner check the logs for more information.

Absolute worst estate agents

Absolute worst estate agents! Took our 6 months rent upfront told us we could move into the property only to be told 5 hours after we were due to get the keys that we weren’t allowed to have the property after all! We had paid for removals and were literally sitting outside the house only to be mucked about for the entire day. Very disappointing and if we could give them zero stars we would!

Avoid at all costs.

Dishonest, incompetent, the last 18 months have been infuriating stressful and costly, systemic failures in their property management team, did not manage the property licensing process, Help2 Rent tenant, let the H2R rent guarantee expire, so no rent cover and tenant in significant arrears, a personal data breach, lost keys, among a litany of failures. Avoid this company at all costs look around do t be fooled by the size of this company, it’s size dwarfs its ability to manage a single property with competence or integrity.

My sister and I chose Bairstow Eves in Radford to sell the home of our recently deceased parents - and we are pleased to report that the service we received from Richard, Ashleigh and the rest of the Jubilee Crescent team was friendly, efficient and thoroughly professional from start to finish. Richard and co handled all of the marketing for the property and organised the subsequent viewings. A buyer was found just a couple of weeks after the 'For Sale' board was erected. We were then guided through the rest of the selling process with the minimum of fuss and no major hitches. My sister and I would not hesitate to use Bairstow Eves again in the future and we would unreservedly recommend their services to others.

Purchasing a property

While in the process of purchasing a property i had my mortgage adviser and solicitor, but the agent pressured me into using their services by stating multiple times on the phone the seller would rather the buyer use their services. After the third time i was pressured into saying yes because in all the telephone conversations i was not getting anywhere until I said yes.The mistake I made was having all this conversation in a telephone conversation instead of emails. Their complaint department just threw the case under the bus because I had no evidence and their telephone conversations were not recorded.I avoid this company and their services.
