I would not be inclined to leave a negative review but felt this is with good reason. Met with Jeremy last week to view a property that we were very interested in and had a very unpleasant experience from start to finish. He showed up a few minutes late. Myself and my partner found him extremely arrogant, unprofessional and very rude. We felt with only a few common and general questions he was very condescending with his responses, as if we were in our teens when we are both mature working adults. He basically said to us "if he was being honest we didn't have a clue and to go and educate ourselves about the area" and because the house needing modernisation. We felt this was unwarranted as we have family members in the trade and we also live around the corner which we mentioned and would be up to us how we would approach/deal with the renovation. Further more he said "I would be very slow at taking an offer from you both" and as a result he was denying us a home during the property crisis as he continues to rush us out the door. This was very unfair as we were mortgage approved and we felt we were judged as if our money was not good enough. Leaving us in a very difficult position as this property was well within reach unlike 90% of others. We were very surprised and taken back as there was not a major interest with the property with offers only €2,000 over the asking price. We spoke and met his colleague the week before and did not have any issues nor with any other estate agents. We would of expected much more from a MD but it was the complete opposite, no help and would definitely avoid and not recommend based on the above.

We bought our house with Jeremy Murphy back in July. We gave the deposite right before the first lockdown in March. For obvious reason the whole process took more time than it would usually have even though we had no problems with the mortgage as both myself and my boyfriend are essential workers. We've dealt with Jeremy himself and it's been a nightmare. Not only he put us under pressure for things we had not control on (in the middle of the pandemic) but also a few weeks later, when we were waiting for the valuer from the bank to come and see the house (who of course could not do that until the restrictive measures were lifted, again nothing we had control on) he threatened us to put the house back on the market. He was really in a rush to close the sale and putting the house back on the market would have only slowed down the process even more. If it wasn't for the fact that we were really in love with the house we would have definitely walked away. Buying a house it's already stressfull enough for many different reasons and you would at least expect to deal with a professional who doesn't add more stress on it. I promised myself I would tell him this in person but I have never had the chance to meet him again.. So I hope he reads this.
