I was the executor of the sale of a deceased friend's property and based 250 miles away from Colchester so I have never visited the office or met any of the people. I selected William H Brown because of their approach which was far more proactive than their immediate competitor. The property was assessed, photographed and on their site in a matter of a few days. A lack of initial interest from purchasers did require a reduction in asking price. The sale took a bit longer than I hoped, but a purchaser was found with a small chain and the transaction was successfully achieved. I found William Brown people very personal and responsive. I never once rang the office to find there was no one there who knew about my sale - a rarity in this business as many people will have experienced. I'd be very happy to recommend them - even to deal with from a distance as I did.

I first spoke with Cameron on the phone to view a property. Not only did he sort out this viewing quickly but he was so helpful and set me up with a mortgage advisor appointment. Then to my delight I was shown round the property by Cameron and once again he was friendly, polite, well mannered and excellent at his job. I did not offer on this property as it was unsuitable for me. Cameron asked where else I was looking and he gave me his honest and experienced advise which I did act on. By sharing his knowledge of the area and property market with me this enabled me to make a more informed decision. He had nothing to gain from this as they weren't properties with his company which greatly impressed me, a kind and genuine person. What a delightful, polite and professional young man.
