So very Bad.

So very bad. When a company insists that a potential buyer prove their monetary situation even before viewing a property, let alone getting to the point of making an offer, it is not only pointless, rude and disrespectful to those who go to them to view a property, but more importantly, does a huge disservice to the people who go to them to sell their property. I assume they are so flooded with sales that they can afford to act in that way on behalf of their clients. Monetary verification comes at a later date once an offer has been made. It's like walking into an auto showroom and proving your bank balance prior to looking! A crazy bad business policy that in this case may have lost a sale for their client.

Unacceptable service

If you are looking to rent a property or planning to let your property like I did then you must avoid this company.Abbotts was managing my property and the entire experience was very very bad. This company has been failing me on every level and I have been very disappointed. My property was left uninhabitable following the tenancy causing great financial burden for me. The tenancy ended 7 months ago and I am still waiting for return of deposit and closure of my books. I have not seen anything as unprofessional and self centred. Please avoid at all cost.

Ridiculously bad service. Time waisted due to Abbotts Colchester. They are unreliable and they let us down. We had an appointment to see a house, they never showed up, they are not answering the phone. With this service you will definitely have clients 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I would advise never to use this effort of a company. They failed to protect me from bad tenents and costing me over £2000 in lost rent inspection of property not regular failing to add requested protections one star is an exaggeration. Should be - 5 stars

After renting for a year with Abbots, we are signing on for another 2 years. I feel this says a lot in its self. They have made everything very easy, from viewing the property and moving in, to sorting out any issues that might arise in the property (I must say we have had no major problems with the property, just general problems that needed minor fixes). Dealing with Brady we have had an experience where we were treated as individual customers and didn't feel like another one on the conveyor belt. Another plus point is that every time we have been in the office Brady has know us by name, and been fully aware of what property we are letting and any different communication we have had. All a very positive experience letting with Brady, through Abbotts lettings

Fantastic, I rent properties for a living and I have yet to meet a more friendly professional team than Abbots Colchester, the last property they rented for me went up for rent on a Wednesday and was rented the same day, my new tenants were also singing there praises and remarked on how easy the whole process was and how reasonable there prices were compared to other local agents, "I tip my hat to you all" thank you. Our first dealings with Brady, the manager were approx. 18 months ago. He can be totally relied upon to go the "extra mile" when any problems arise, as happened with ourselves. His knowledge of the market is first class and we feel confident when he is dealing with issues for us, We have recently recommended him to a neighbour of ours who was extremely happy with his level of service. Overall, a good front man for the business.

Unsolicited mail received from Abbott's Kings Lynn.They cannot even sell a property similar to mine up the road, but they are quite happy to tout for my business.They search for property addresses from online estate agents because they know their days are numbered. They then promise the earth when in fact they are just parasites who are no better than any other high street estate agent. Avoid at all costs......

Delays in getting repairs done in the property . For example 6 weeks without a washing machine . Calls never returned . Very poor customer service especially when ending my tenancy . Friendly until you sign and move in , then they aren't interested in you anymore . Will never use them again
