Hi Tyler, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Please be assured that we do conduct thorough checks prior to renting out a property to ensure everything is in good condition and fit for purpose. We understand how frustrating it can be when maintenance issues arise, and while it's unfortunate, these situations can happen in any home from time to time. Working on behalf of the landlord, it’s our responsibility to ensure that tenants have access to essential amenities such as a functioning toilet, and we want to clarify that, in this situation, a further toilet was available. Our maintenance process involves liaising with landlords, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that any necessary repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner. We accept that there were some delays beyond our control, but we aimed to keep you updated throughout the process. Deposit deductions are only made when a property is not returned in the same condition as it was at the start of the tenancy, with reasonable wear and tear taken into account. Any suggested costs are always based on quotes from reputable contractors and are directly related to the work required. To ensure fairness to both the tenant and the landlord, we conduct a pre-move-in inventory that details the condition of the property and a further check-out inspection at the end of the tenancy to establish what, if any, adjustments are needed. We always aim for these processes to be fair and transparent, and if any deductions are necessary, they are clearly communicated. We’re always open to discussing any concerns and finding a solution that works for everyone involved. If you disagree with any charges, the DPS provides an impartial resolution service that offers guidance on how to proceed. We encourage tenants to use this service to ensure a fair and balanced outcome. We appreciate your feedback and hope this helps clarify the process.
