Lily was an absolute star from start to finish! I was looking for a one-bedroom furnished flat and initially viewed a property that wasn’t quite right. When I mentioned my ideal home would be a fully furnished flat in Clifton/Redland, Lily said, “I might have just the property for you.” She arranged for me to view it before it even hit the market, there were over 100 inquiries, but I was one of the the first people to see it and my offer was accepted! Lily answered all of my questions and was so patient as I navigated the UK rental process, which was completely new to me as I’m moving from America. Thank you, Ocean, and a huge thank you to Lily for making the whole experience so easy!

My experience with Ocean Estate Agents Clifton was exceptional. Ollie gave us great confidence in his ability to sell the flat, and managed to do so within 1 viewing. This was very impressive as it was a shared ownership property which many other estate agents refused to help with, or tried to charge extortionate fees whilst Ocean Clifton were very reasonable considering their experience and profile within the area. The moving manager, Nicola, was also very helpful and efficient. She made the selling process much less stressful by liasing between both the sellers solicitors and ours. We managed to move out smoothly thanks to their help. I would use them again and have since recommended them to several people.

The hygiene standards were appalling upon move-in; it was evident that the place had not been cleaned or tidied. 2. There were issues with the radiators, and although they promised to send someone to fix them, no one has shown up for a week. 3. The boiler is not working, and the response has been far from immediate, with an expected wait of up to two weeks. I have never encountered such a lack of responsibility from a letting agent, and it highlights their negligence and irresponsibility.

This was a long and difficult journey to eventually reach completion after 10 months with one buyer pulling out after 6 months. I recently contacted Ocean Lettings & Management to enquire about them managing a house I own in Bristol. From the outset I found Will Jenkins to be professional, knowledgeable and, above all, really helpful in guiding me through the steps required to get my house ready for letting. There were a lot of steps I needed to take which I wouldn’t have known about if it hadn’t been the excellent service I received from Will and his team. As soon as the house was ready for advertising Lily Butler conducted the viewings on my behalf and provided me with details of perspective tenants. They then carried out all the reference checks required which again was something I would not have been able to do alone. Alun Johnson really helped arrange for the delivery of white goods and was instrumental in helping to have a fault with the boiler fixed swiftly and with the minimum of fuss. With so much work required to make the house compliant (electrical tests, gas certificates, decorating, delivery of white goods) I would not have had everything ready if it had not been for Will and the team at Ocean Lettings & Management. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent out a property in the Bristol area and I know that my house is in good hands.

I began the process of selling my flat with getting three different quotes. Of those, Ocean came out on top for both quote and professionalism. I initially met Matt, who talked me through the process and put me at ease about how it would move forward. Within days Matt found me buyer. From then on I had the experience of liaising with different Ocean staff, from Ollie, Mike, Cleo and Nicola on front of house, all of which are superb. I would especially like to say, how I found most useful, being able to call and speak with Nicola, who keeps the whole process glued together. At a time when situations can become challenging and stressful, Nicola is there on the end of the phone and always reassuring. Other estate agents do not offer this level of service and is most helpful. To sum up, I found the Ocean experience a breeze and all staff extremely professional. Ocean Clifton were quick to offer me a viewing, despite the hectic market. Will and Amelia have been excellent help with navigating the rental process, as it is our first time letting through agents. They are open to Students and Guarantors. EDIT: I have since lived in the property for over a year and have finally gotten around to updating this review. Upon moving in, it was very clear that the check in report detailing the condition of the flat was negligent at best and intentionally misleading at worst. The pressure release valve on the shower was broken, rendering it unusable and the upstairs windows were very clearly tied together with a piece of string as they could not be closed due to faulty installation. On top of that, the flat was filthy and the report did not reflect the poor condition of the carpets, crumbling plaster on one of the outer walls, obvious mildew on the bathroom ceiling and mouldy silicone throughout the bathroom and kitchen among other issues. The landlord had not been made aware of any of these issues and luckily quickly remedied them after I contacted him.
