Pleasant and efficient people to deal with. My fault for not reading the T's & C's though - finders fee is NOT 50% as I was told, as VAT at 20% is added - so total finders fee is in fact 60%. Likewise, adding VAT to a £60 deposit holder's fee? - in hindsight I should have just done this myself (although I certainly do not recall a conversation along the lines of "If we hold the deposit for you it will cost £72, otherwise I wouldn't have done this). An expensive lesson learned, and no doubt all agencies operate with similar fees. But as a first time landlord I don't feel all was as transparent as it could have been, and can only hope now to break even over the 6 months tenancy. If you're an absentee landlord however, CJ Hole has a good presence in the area and a pleasant, efficient group of employees.

Following my isters death her flat had to be sold. My first contact with CJHOLE was a preliminary meeting with Lee Glenister.A meeting was arranged with mr Howard Davies..We place the sale with CJHole. as our initial impression was of a firm where every member of staff felt as if they were involved with the sale. Sam, Tara and every member of staff with whom we came in contact were always polite and above all gave the impression of being genuinely interested.We were constantly updated by regular emails and telephone calls. I have been a landlord for many years and have a large portfolio, I have been thinking of changing the agent that manages my properties, so I have checked a few agents out, I visited CJ Hole in Clifton and spoke to a lady called Rachel who was very helpful. I was introduced to the manager Sheila, and I took the decision on passing all my portfolio to them, they are helpful very professional and always available to help. I wish I had changed to them years ago.

Buying a house is a major decision in anyone's life. From the beginnings of our dealings with CJ Hole Clifton, we experienced courteous and extremely efficient service, which gave us confidence. We encountered all sorts of difficulties with the first property we wanted, which led to having to pull out in the end. But CJ Hole got us through and there were good relations with the vendors, who were stymied through circumstances beyond their control. The same day we heard that we could not buy the property, CJ Hole showed us around three other properties; we were able to choose one immediately (being exactly what we were looking for) and make an offer that day. We were looking for very swift service as cash buyers with no chain, and Howard in particular was always ready to help, and made the whole process as good as it could be. I have bought a number of properties in the past, and CJ Hole has been one of the best Estate Agents I have dealt with. They know their business and offer excellent service.
