GoogleWorst experience we have ever had.
on our first viewing we booked over a week in advance we was told an hour before the actual viewing that it was cancelled, bear in mind we both took time off work in order to cater for this.
As if this wasn’t bad enough, we gave the property a second chance and booked a viewing in the convenience of the seller and estate agent which was on a Saturday… we turned up 15 minutes before agreed time, waited almost an hour and nobody showed up.
Nobody from Bairstow Eves bothered to call us… Again, another day of work lost due to the incompetence of these estate agents.
Embarrassing and unprofessional.

GoogleAbsolutely shocking experience, if I could give a zero I would. Tried to sell a house for my elderly parents who have no idea about selling a house and were already anxious and nervous but trusted Bairstow Eves Chigwell. Our house was valued high to then be heavily reduced within weeks. We were promised things but agents never delivered, was always constantly chasing for answers and updates. Late for viewings, never turned up for viewings and this with 5 minutes notice. Awful Experience. I Do not recommend them. We went to another agent who sold our house within 2 weeks and the difference in communication and honesty was incredible. However. Be aware of the clauses in their contract which are not explained but in small print if you wish to end your contract.

Our agents take care during a market appraisal appointment to ensure that a seller understands the information contained within the agreement and, if there are any questions at the time or during the fourteen day cooling off period in which you are able to review this document further, the agent is happy to clarify and assist. I understand that you have raised your concerns as it is outlined within these terms that should the property sell through another agent to a party previously introduced by the branch, there may be a claim to a commission fee. This is further confirmed within the Withdrawal Letter provided to your parents in order to protect them. It is recommended that this letter is provided to the new agent to ensure no dual fee liability situations occur. As already explained, please also note that the other agent has a duty of care to ensure that you will not be liable to pay two commission fees and this sale therefore will need to be directed back to the introductory agent. Bairstow Eves are more than happy to assist your parents further should you wish to agree to this sale

Unfortunately, we have had a very poor experience with Bairstow Eves Chigwell branch, and have found them to be incompetent and dishonest throughout the process of trying to sell our house. I would not recommend using them if you want to avoid going through this terrible experience. Misadvised, lack of communication, over valuing properties to gain business are just a few issues of their poor professional standards. Be aware of the contract clauses which will haunt you forever!!!!
