GoogleWe have had a very negative experience as tenants with this agency. They have been rude, mis-stated the facts about property availability, accepted rental price, and condition of the property (the fridge was not working for example). They were also very disrespectful when we communicated with them, for example: upon our planned departure we were not asked if viewings times worked, but the agent simply emailed us to inform us the time they would be coming by (this is a nightmare if you have young children at home, FYI). They have no common curtesy and I would never recommend this company to anyone. And on moving out they want us to pay for “junk” removal, the only items left were the owner’s property and the agency’s own rental sign. Thankfully the owners of the property have been perfectly reasonable and lovely.

GoogleI received the very best, the most excellent service from Katie Hill, she was great, really helpful, very knowledgeable when showing me around the property, she then had all the paperwork completed without any delay. I do really recommend you see her and her colleagues at Southernbrook if you wish the best expert help and advice, also to have all to run smoothly without any fuss at all.

GoogleI initially gave a one star review but this was mostly aimed at the landlord due his poor response regarding maintenance issues. The landlord, having previously disregarded quotes from Houserack. Eventually after an arduous 4 months, Hayley who has been exceptionally helpful, finally managed to converse with the landlord and hopefully now the broken fence will be repaired, among other necessary maintenance/repairs. My other gripes are tenancy renewal fees, i shall look forward to not being charged these fees once this has been abolished and also the six monthly property inspections. I feel these are an invasion of privacy, the staff at Southernbrook are well aware of my feelings in regards to this. I have never in 15 years of renting properties had a property inspection so find them intrusive. I keep my rented home immaculate and respect and treat the property as if it were my own, pay my rent on time and cause no issues to my neighbours so feel these inspections should be limited to perhaps once a year. Generally the staff at Southernbrook are professional and friendly. I know they have a tough job ensuring properties are maintained and taken care of by tenants.

GoogleVery good letting agent company to deal with as a landlord. On the ball, proactive, easy to contact, always fair. I appreciate having them around they have taken a lot of the complexity out of letting the flat out and are worth their fees (which are competitive rates anyway) with the good service they provide. Its easy to try other agents if you get bad service, Ive never had one reason to do so and because of that I have developed like a loyalty to them. And thats what its all about..

GoogleWas about to put my properties with them but realised i was looking at another companies fees which i thought were fine. However when realised i could and would not deal with this company that charge over £50 just to renew a TA in fact they charge over £130. This is a Rip Off and cant wait for the government to regulate agents who rip off tenants with outrageous fees. They even charge upfront £90 for a check out. Tenants read everything before you sign and landlords stop using companies that charge horrendous fees.
