Google**Review: The Worst Experience with an Estate Agency**
I’ve rarely encountered such a dreadful experience with an estate agency as I did with this one. My dealings with them have been marked by outright discrimination, gross inefficiency, and an astonishing level of incompetence from every member of their team.
**Discrimination and Inefficiency:**
My application for a property was rejected due to blatant discrimination, which is not only unethical but also illegal under UK law. Despite this clear breach of legal standards, the agency’s response was to slow down the process deliberately. It took them three working days to review a brief email of six sentences, during which they obstructed my ability to apply for the property. Communication was consistently dishonest, and their lies were so transparent that it was almost laughable.
**The Team:**
**Chad:** Chad was responsible for my initial viewing, but he managed to misplace the key in his car. While we were supposed to view the property, he was instead on the phone trying to locate the key. His ineptitude was astounding as he was ready to drive back to the office to retrieve it, all while wasting our time.
**Emily:** Emily’s performance was shockingly unprofessional. She was late for appointments, disorganized, and generally unprepared. During one viewing, she failed to notify the current tenant, leading to an uncomfortable and intrusive situation where she barged into the property without proper notice. Her lack of respect and professionalism was infuriating.
**Director Manny:** Manny, the Director, epitomized the agency’s poor standards. From the outset, he seemed aware that their actions were unlawful but chose to respond with further dishonesty and delay tactics. Manny's incompetence was so severe that he relied solely on ChatGPT to compose emails, unable to draft a coherent message on his own. His attempts to cover up and fabricate excuses were so numerous that cataloguing them would be exhausting.
**Take Action:**
To help make agencies like this more accountable and humble, consider reporting them to the relevant redress scheme. They could face serious consequences, including license revocation. Additionally, if their actions have caused you damages, you might be entitled to compensation of up to £25,000. By filing complaints and holding them accountable, you can contribute to ensuring they face appropriate consequences and potentially find themselves back on the job market.
**Conclusion:**
In summary, this estate agency is an abysmal representation of professionalism and ethics in the property rental industry. Their team, comprising Chad, Emily, and Manny, failed spectacularly in every aspect of their roles. If you value fairness, efficiency, and genuine customer service, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Avoid this agency at all costs.

Having had many dealings with the team at Prominence Estates over the course of the past fortnight or so, I am beyond impressed at the level of customer service that they have provided to me.
I have spoken to both Chenise and Aneesa on a number of occasions and, they have always been friendly, engaging and highly professional.
As a tenant, the majority of my interaction with Prominence has been with Emily who has, again, been nothing short of amazing over the past couple of weeks.
From arranging (and then facilitating) the viewing for me, to dealing with any follow-on queries that I had and, generally making the whole move-in process/experience as seamless and straightforward as possible, it must be said that Emily is a credit to both Prominence Estates and, the wider property market in general.
Having been a private tenant for the last 13 years of my life and, having dealt with around 4 or 5 different letting agencies during this time, Emily and the wider Prominence Estates team have most definitely stood out above the rest, in the best possible way. I would highly recommend them.

GoogleWe purchased our property through prominence mid-August and the service we received can only be described as horrific. Our first impression started with calling over and over to try and secure a viewing for 2 houses that were showing as available on Rightmove, we were promised a call back but never received one. When we eventually viewed the property we loved and had an offer accepted, the only caveat would be that the house would remain on he market until we had our mortgage offer. Once our mortgage was accepted, the house remained on the market and showings were still being scheduled via prominence even after our searches had been carried out. We were threatened on a fortnightly basis with our house price increasing, if we didn’t meet certain deadlines and that cash buyers had an interest in the house when we were close to completing and we would lose the house if we didn’t complete by a certain date. After being assured by prominence that they would manage the expectations of our vendor, they did the exact opposite to the point we could no longer communicate through them. We were also promised that the vendor would sort any snags out on the property once we had moved in which has been promised multiple times and we have had zero contact from the vendor after bringing this to their attention. I would steer clear of using this agency as the whole experience was pure hell from start to finish. If you are happy to be threatened with losing the property you had fell in love with, to the point you lose all interest, then this is the estate agent for you.

GoogleI would strongly advise anyone thinking about using this lettings agency to be extremely cautious. From start to finish, my experience has been incredibly stressful, frustrating, and disappointing.
Even something as simple as booking a viewing was made unnecessarily difficult. I arranged multiple viewings, only to have them cancelled at the very last minute, more than once. It felt impossible to get a straight answer or any consistency from the staff. When I finally did manage to attend a viewing, the process still wasn’t smooth, and it already raised doubts about how the agency was being run.
The communication between staff is extremely poor. You’re told one thing at first, only for it to completely change later when it’s already too late to challenge. By that point, you’re trapped and pressured into signing the contract. It feels manipulative, dishonest, and deeply unprofessional.
I am leaving this review anonymously because I am genuinely worried about backlash if they knew who I was, which says a lot in itself. However, I feel it’s important to share my experience so others are aware and can protect themselves.
My advice to anyone considering renting through this agency is to get absolutely everything in writing, emails or letters only, and save every single piece of correspondence. Do not rely on verbal promises, because they can and will be changed later, leaving you with no options.
I have evidence of my experience and the repeated cancellations, so I know they cannot say this is untrue. If things don’t improve, I am very close to contacting housing activist Kwajo Tweneboa to expose the way they treat their tenants, because the way they operate is simply unacceptable.
For your own peace of mind, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a lettings agency that values honesty, professionalism, and proper communication. This one does not.
