We received a fantastic service from Beresford Adams when buying our house. Aimee O'Neill was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable, extremely efficient and it was very reassuring to have her there when we purchased our first home, as it was all very new to us! She found us fantastic mortgage and insurance offers, promptly followed up our queries and was a constant source of support and information throughout the whole process. I have nothing but nice things to say about Beresford Adams! From the moment I called them to ask to view a property last minute Melissa went out of her way to ensure we got a viewing that weekend. Not only this but she took us to see another property at the same time that hadn’t been listed yet. She is the most professional estate agent I have ever dealt with. From the moment we put in an offer through to finally completing, she was there every step of the way. She was always so kind and helpful, answering all my emails and phone calls. Any important news (such as offer being accepted, completing etc) she always called us which I really appreciated. I never once felt that she was just on the sellers side, I felt she had my best interests at heart too. Me and my partner are first time buyers and were very anxious throughout the process but Melissa really helped us to navigate through it all. I’m in love with our first home and only have Melissa to thank for that. I hope to stay in touch with her and Beresford Adams so that in the future, should we want to sell our first home and find something bigger, I will definitely go back to them. The landlords find tenants privately and rent through the agency, so unless you have connections in the agency there is no point of applying. The communication is absolutely non existent, every property I’ve applied to, I’ve been put on a ‘list’ to view the property 2 weeks later I’ve given them a call just to hear that the property has been let to other people, even though I was not informed that I wasn’t the only one on the list. I was actually told I was the first person on the list. When I confronted the lady on the phone about their communication she was absolutely disgusting and didn’t even apologise but gave me attitude about me not being the only one on the list. Never again!!!

Gave them the spare key and security fob for the property I am renting so they could carry out an inspection while I was at work, perfectly happy with service at this point. But a few months later a gas safety check was due so advised again that could be done using the spare key as I couldn’t take the time off work but got a call back to say they had lost the keys! Mistakes happen and had the lost keys and fob been replaced and given back to me then I wouldn’t be here complaining... instead we are almost 3 years down the line and after multiple attempts to contact them and resolve it I am left with only 1 security fob that would leave me stranded outside the block should it fail... have I also mentioned the intercom doesn’t work? Attempts to contact them and resolve the issue include: Reporting it in writing via email and following up with a telephone conversation Further telephone conversations Reporting it via the website for maintenance issues Forwarding emails reporting it directly to the lettings manager of the chester office and being told he would investigate... That was 7 months ago and still nothing I cannot recommend the Lettings office because of this unfortunately.

We have just completed on our first home with the help of Aimee O’Neill as our mortgage advisor and Kate Owen as our agent and both have been exceptional the whole way through! Aimee deserves a pay rise with the amount of work and extra hours she put in going above and beyond to take the stress out of our hands. Unfortunately, due to no fault of the team we had hit a few snags during our journey and the whole process has taken about 5 months, however, Aimee and Kate have fought our corner the whole way through, kept us well informed and reassured us at every turn. They were just brilliant at a very difficult time, so when we came to put the bungalow on the market we had no hesitation in asking them sell it for us. Once again we can't praise and thank everyone enough for there friendly, professional and excellent service throughout what transpired to be a longer than expected sale. Thanks so much to the whole team, Louise, Cherry, Katrina, Tuin and especially Amy who endured a lot of hassle on our behalf and who never lost her sense of humour or professionalism. The only thing I would do differently is to use an independent conveyancer rather than CCS. Would we recommend Beresford Adams.....
