Be prepared to be pressured into taking mortgage advice from them. I have now had to book viewings through 4 different branches to have to be really firm in saying no to mortgage advice to the point I was going to walk away from the viewings.

GoogleRecently, We bought a house where Peter Alan were our buyers' estate agents. We initially viewed the house with Katie, who was exceptional. Katie did not make us feel rushed, answered all our question's and was generally a lovely person. After viewing many other house's we were really impressed with Katie. We went back several times before the purchase went through and Katie was always very flexible with dates and times. Katie even helped us to negotiate a price for some of the furniture, not to mention remained very calm when our 3 year old daughter locked herself in the toilet and we had to saw the door off. Peter Alan - Katie is a credit to you!

GooglePeter Alan were incredibly supportive in my purchase. Heidi was my point of contact and regularly kept me up to date with how my purchase was progressing. As my exchange date loomed, especially in the current climate, hitting key dates was essential and Heidi's efforts in keeping the chain moving her side through open and informative communication was essential. It also put my mind at ease in what is an inherently stressful process. So if you do get Heidi helping with your purchase or sale you'll be in a safe pair of hands.

An absolute disgrace, don't put your properties near them. Their service to look after my properties which were Let was a shambles in their head office. They couldn't organise or sort anything in a timely or cost efficient manner. I had to leave in the end and this has been an impossible task as they refuse to give up the data and documents required to carry on letting the properties. Don't let them go near you rental properties. If my request for data isn't taken seriously I will be forwarding this complaint to the ICO

Poor communication, dont have them do your epc ( they offer one for free, then charge you if you dont sell). Get your own done, its cheaper and don't go for the sales nonsense .

Thanks for your help moving in Charlie. Our experience with Peter Alan had good communication from the agent, lots of calls with updates on the property etc. However, the move in date was delayed the day before due to "electrical checks". Upon moving into the property it was clean, however there were two dead birds in the loft, an unsafe landing light with loose wires and no cover and the cover for the bath was hanging off. The guttering hadn't been maintained and was home to lots of weeds and dirt. I gave Peter Alan 2 stars for this due to the condition of the property and delayed move in date. However, Charlie was very prompt with responses and able to help where needed.

I met Jamie hyett Jan 2022 and I wasn't his customer I was buying through Peter Alan not selling. The estate agent who was selling my house messed me about from day 1. I'd found my dream home Jamie was selling. For 6.5 months Jamie went above and beyond to not only be so kind, helpful, caring, always made time for me but to do everything in his power to help me get my dream home. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him with always a big smile. Eventually I left the estate agents who made no effort to help me and I asked Jamie to sell my house and my dream came true. Without Jamie's not just professional approach, his experience and expertise, the thing for me was his genuine kindness and such caring attitude. With his perseverance, it took a year, but we've been in our dream home 8 weeks and it's perfect. Im so grateful to Jamie for everything he did for me. Never change Jamie you were not just the estate agent you became a friend

Very poor customer service not only from the branch but also head office complaints department who aren’t efficient. Do not in any case choose Peter Alan as a letting agent you will come to regret it. Months of bad service and no communication

GoogleAfter a very un satisfactory experience with a local estate agent. PA were recommended to us through a family friend. James and the team were outstanding. Positive, pro active and professional. After being on the market for 8 months with a different estate agency with no viewings James and the team had arranged 3 viewings in the first week and two offers. Once we accepted an offer they liaised with us on a weekly basis. There progression team constantly chasing solicitors and other agents for updates right up until the sale had been completed. I wouldn't hesitate to use James and his team in the future and highly recommend them .PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

After finally getting out of our contract with Peter Alan for Property Management. i can strongly recommend avoiding them. we are still battling to get our last tenants deposit back and our last month of rent in arrears... 8 weeks later!

Poor service. I have rented out several properties- the inventories are all 'good' despite newly furnished, new fixtures and fitting, no evidence of that written. I pay £180 each for the service including check in which has never been done and been caught out several times with the DPS. The inventories ar not worth the paper they are written on

I have privately renting my properties for several years, it got to a point where Things were getting on top me so I made the decision to pass the properties onto Peter Alan to manage….. hands down the best thing I’ve done, they were amazing from start to finish explaining the changes with the existing Tennant’s and new lines of communication etc Added bonus any maintenance has been liaised directly to their head office, and dealt with promptly and efficiently with both Jordan Knill,Carole Shepard and their team orchestrating all lines off maintenance from start to finish. Hats off to you both you’ve done an amazing job to date, keep up the good work!

The most appalling levels of pressure to close a deal and levels of used car sales tactics I have ever imagined! Asking me now to file a complaint instead of allowing my 14 day right to cancelThe tenant was called twice requesting him to sign a tenancy agreement. When that failed, they called his wife an additional three times and she finally relented just to get them to stop calling. Interestingly, they stated in a text “Due to the unclarity of the situation and no communication the tenant has signed the contract. There was no communication with me as I was in bed with covid and phones were off to get rest, BUT they managed 5 calls to the tenant! One of which clearly stated they were not going to sign.“They also sent me this text “Hi Tony, the tenant has just told us that you have informed him we are no longer taking over and not to sign the contract? Please can you confirm to us what is going on, please? As we are at the point of sign-off. Thanks, Matt” SO as I was not able to confirm as I had switched off my phone to get rest from Covid, they harassed the tenant’s wife until she signed! Open question: Matt, is the first thing you should do when you have dug yourself into a hole? Stop Digging! It is surprising how they managed to get so much wrong in such a short time period last minuite cancellation of a valuation and then making two alternative appointments with out thinking to ask if I was available on the time and dates in question , terrible communication . I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Peter Alan estate agents. Despite my property already being on the market and having a mortgage ready to go, they refused to arrange any viewings unless my house was under offer. This rigid policy is not only frustrating for buyers like myself but also means sellers are potentially losing out on genuine offers. In a competitive market, flexibility is key, yet Peter Alan seems unwilling to accommodate serious buyers. I would have expected a more helpful and proactive approach. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend their services based on this experience.

GoogleBooked a market appraisal a week ago and an hour before it was due I get an email not a phone call but an email cancelling it. No detail or explanation as to why or potential reschedule just a cancellation. Have tried several times now to call the office in Chepstow and just answering machine. Dread to think that this would be the service people looking to view properties receive so I will not be looking to sell mine or purchase my next home through this particular agent. Shocking impersonal service.
