We are extremely pleased with the tireless work on not only the sale off house but the purchase off our new home. Luly and her team were brilliant throughout kept us updated and pushed our solicitor constantly. They made buying and selling as stress free as possible.

Peter Alan - A poor choice.

Completely incompetent staff working for this company. Appalling communication. Staff don't answer calls, they do not respond to emails and take hundreds of pounds in fees but in return, offer a terrible service. I have made a complaint with the company but they have not even acknowledged the complaint, that is how poor their service is. Numerous calls and emails sent to various teams in the company with no response. Website states they are experts at what they do with 60 years of experience. Peter Alan are not to be trusted, they cannot effectively sell or let your property as they do not care about their customers. Customers are just revenue to them.

Went in for a brochure. Left with fictional geography lessons and 8 secret digital pen pals

If you enjoy being lied to, having your time aggressively wasted, and being hunted down like a fugitive by mortgage brokers, I highly recommend the Peter Alan experience.I popped in for a simple brochure for a property advertised in "Radyr." What followed was a hostage-length conversation with an agent describing a location in the "back and beyond." After some intense decoding, the truth came out: it wasn't in Radyr. It was structurally dumped at the back of Llandaff North. She enthusiastically pitched it as a "wonderful, scenic location." I turned up and found it dead in the middle of a council estate, looking like it had been violently stuffed into the back of an industrial estate. No view. No charm. Absolute catfishing. How can you trust an estate agent who tells you a concrete jungle is the Swiss Alps?As a single parent, my criteria weren't exactly a riddle: a safe, nice area around Radyr (like Danescourt, Radyr Gardens, Creigiau, or Llantrisant Road) with a garden, driveway, and good square footage. I explicitly stated absolutely no bad areas or council estates. Instead, I got a magical mystery tour of an industrial estate. But the real comedy sketch was their aggressive data harvesting. I looked her dead in the eye and said: "Do not put me on any mailing lists." She practically gave me a pinky-promise. Blatant lie.Cue the 48-hour harassment campaign:Day 1: A man calls trying to sell me everything short of a timeshare. I demand my details be removed. He promises he'll do it. (Spoiler: He did not).Day 2: A woman calls to aggressively pitch me a mortgage. I went in for a single piece of paper, not a 30-year financial commitment!Tonight: My inbox explodes with mortgage advice and "exciting company options."To top off the madness, their spam emails don't even feature a standard unsubscribe button. I had to solve a digital escape room just to escape: hunt down a preferences page, type my email to get a link, click the link, and type my email again just to log in. Once inside, I discovered they had secretly subscribed me to over eight different mailing lists.I am completely flabbergasted. I didn't ask for a new lifestyle, an industrial hike, or eight new automated best friends. I just wanted a brochure. Absolutely ridiculous.

Please avoid this company if you are a…

Please avoid this company if you are a landlord. They let our property out to a tenant who destroyed our home. The tenant had moved not only a new partner in without us being informed but also a large dog which has left a considerable amount of faeces everywhere. The damage she caused within 6 months has cost thousands of pounds to rectify. Meanwhile the tenant failed to pay rent for the majority of this period therefore leaving us in considerable financial difficulty. Despite taking their % every month, Peter Alan failed to carry out any checks of the property during this time and later stated they only did this 'once a year.' We were told upon instructing them to manage the property that checks would be done quarterly. They have since refused to chase our missing rent money after the tenant moved out stating it was 'no longer their problem.' They took no forwarding address for her, therefore we cannot look to pursue this ourselves. On the day she moved out, Peter Alan took new prospective tenants into the property that same evening. We hadnt seen the property at this point, neither were we told about the state of it including a rat infestation due to rotten food waste. The property was in no way habitable yet Peter Alan were willing to continue showing viewers around without asking us first. The staff are always rude, unhelpful and extremely unprofessional. They have completely refused to accept responsibility for the lack of management of the property but happily took our money every month. Needless to say we are pursuing this company civilly for failing to manage the property and for not carrying out a service they were paid for.

Worst estate agents ever pity I couldn't give it a minus 5

Absolutely disgusted with these people I rented a flat out with them which was full of mould and damp and made my asthma worse which hospitalised me on 3 different occasions I was told I could give a months notice to leave so when I did that they accepted it via email and then lied to say I couldn't leave early and now they got the cheek to try and charge me extra rent when I had already left and they had told me prior to the months notice that all I had to do was either email or in writing my months notice so I emailed them and they took ages answering back roughly 2 weeks to reply to an email basically saying I can't leave and I would be liable to pay rent right up until the end of the contract which is disgusting nothing but lies from these people and I have it all saved and now TDS wants to look into it because I tried requesting my bond back and they are trying to claim for rent absolutely fuming with these none of these people deserve a job because they obviously can't do it properly worst estate agents ever and I would never in a million years recommend these to anyone I want my bond money you thieves it's my money not yours and you can claim for rent all you want but you accepted my months notice and then changed it so all this is your fault and I will keep on fighting this you don't deserve my money PETER ALAN should be shut down immediately

Becoming a useless company’s makes you…

Becoming a useless company’s makes you to think you got a long term tenancy and then when needed to move due to children and needing more room and then when you need to find another home before the tenancy finishes the sales reps just step on each other toes and no team work in the company, rather give other people that ain’t needing the room for bedrooms to people with no children

Cannot give enough info to explain how brilliant Sarah has been, she called me to tell me there was a cottage available if I was still looking for somewhere, I told her I would be and she arranged a viewing within 24 hours and at that viewing she arranged another one for me to have all the options, told her I loved the first one and she immediately helped put everything through and has been incredibly helpful and answered every question I’ve had along the way. Process is not finished just yet but hoping for the best, much less stressful experience with her help!

Awful experience

The worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. As a buyer and a professional in the residential property field, I was appalled at the awful service given by Peter Alan. I had to resend essential information multiple times, chase up their ‘sales progressor’ to reply to my emails and when I spoke to the sales progressor on the phone, the rude and passive aggressive tone she used was beyond unprofessional. The team didn’t even have the decency to respond to my emails at a critical points in the transaction and on the day of completion, they didn’t even bother to tell me we had completed! If I could give them zero stars I would and if I ever sell my house, I will never use Peter Alan as the sales agent.

I moved into a property with promise that the rear garden would be fixed up to standard. Upon moving in, it was still overgrown. I reported a toilet that would not flush, which took them a week to send someone out to fix (no compensation). Black mould and damp, front door not fit for purpose, heating dial not working during freezing winter. Overall, an absolute nightmare. Would give zero if possible.

Poor communication

One star is extremely generous, Upon on viewing the property we were promised that renovation works would be carried out on the rear garden, we have emailed for an update of when works are expected to commence numerous time but been ignored every time. We are also having issues with damp/mould and a woodlice infestation but they don’t seem to care about sorting that. I have filed a complaint to which I have been told to wait upto 15 working days for a response so basically at least 3 more weeks of living in a damp mouldy infested house.

Not the best

Very hard to get through to one the phone. Never any feedback after viewings, video camera showed estate agent outside with a viewer and the other people with the viewer inside alone unsupervised. Then something in my house was tampered by viewers inside the house while the EA is outside. Very disappointed.

The perfect Scam

Once again Peter Alan is still the market leaders in conning the public when buying property. There new Modern Auction is a prime example. The fees they charge, a 4% none refundable deposit. Legal pack not worth the stamp (£350.00). I would only trust my solicitor. And that being an independent one.Hats off to Peter Alan coming up with a brilliant scam. This is one agent I would never purchase a property from.

Expensive Pests, Avoid!!!

I had a valuation from Peter Alan around the middle of 2025. Firstly, they wildly over-estimated the value of my property in order to get my custom, and secondly they were asking for fees in excess of four grand for their services. I was horrified by their fee, which was not even nearly competitive with other estate agencies. Plus they absolutely would NOT take no for an answer when I chose someone else to sell my house. Peter Alan phoned me at least eight times after I notified them I did not want their services and I expressly requested that they remove my name from their systems every time they called. But no, they kept calling and pestering me for at least five months, sometimes with up to three calls a week. I've now been living in my new house for two months and I've just taken yet ANOTHER call!!!! At this point, I'm seriously considering calling the police and reporting them for harassment. It's just ridiculous that they won't leave me alone. I find their sales tactics to be unnecessarily aggressive, they clearly don't listen and they charge double what others charge for the privilege. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! This estate agency is an absolute nightmare.

Ebbw vale estate agentsOur experience has been fantastic. Couldn’t fault the manager Brenda. She’s been so helpful and very quick with any responses to any queries. Very quick in organising the paper work for us to move in as soon as possible. Chloe was also very helpful and helped answer any questions and ensured the paper work was sent over as quickly as possible. Did have an issue with the boiler but the issue was resolved within a few hours. Fantastic team and hopefully it continues. Very happy with the service and it’s a beautiful house.

Terrible and intense customer service

The biggest mistake I ever made was filling in a contact form on their website for a house valuation. Straight away I was hounded with calls. I answered in the evening asking them politely to ring me back the next day in the afternoon after 2pm and the calls started again from 9am the next day (by the same person!!). I told them to stop ringing me and that I'm no longer interested because my first impression of them is awful. I then start receiving phone calls again the following Monday, I've now had to block their number because they don't leave you alone!!

Merciless and Bothersome Pests

Know that if you contact this estate agent, they will never leave you alone ever again forevermore even if you don't choose them. Also, they will over-value your property to get your custom then reduce it to what it's actually worth in the end, plus their fee is over four grand. They're the dearest out there. I chose a different estate agent but Peter Alan agents pestered me twice a week, every week after me asking for a quote only, July 2025. It's now five months on, we are living in our new house and they are still ringing my mobile and bothering me with their aggressive sales tactics. They just keep on, and on, and on - even though I've asked them to stop at least eight times. I'm now wondering if they are ever going to leave me alone. If it carries on much longer, I am going to contact the police and use the word harassment. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour.

Poor All Round.

Valued house high to get me to sign up with them. Really poor communication, late attending viewings leaving me to show people around. No follow up calls. Really disappointed with the service. Pressure to reduce over valued price once signed with them. Did not sell my house after nearly a year on the market.

Very disappointing experience with the rental team at Peter Alan. Poor communication, delayed responses regarding deposit issues, and unnecessary disputes at the end of tenancy. Thankfully I kept inventory photos and managed to recover most of my deposit through DPS. The only helpful and responsive person was Nail Edward. I would not recommend this agency for renting.

Hugely disappointed with Peter Alan Estate Agents

I made an appointment for 11am on 18th September to have my house valued by a property valuer in person at my address. I received a REMINDER by text message the day before the appointment. On the morning of the 18th I tidied my home in preparation for the valuation, showered, washed my hair and got dressed. Leah, the valuer from Peter Alan Estate Agents had evidently tried calling me at 9:30am on the 18th September to confirm that the appointment was still going ahead (despite having sent me a reminder the day before). As I was busy getting myself ready for her visit I missed the call. Leah had left an ansaphone message requesting that I get in touch with her to confirm the appointment but I did not pick up the ansaphone message until shortly before 11am. By the time I returned her call, Leah advised me that, as she had not heard from me, she concluded that the appointment was not going ahead. She then said that she had carried out a valuation of my property online. I told her that I was not happy with that and requested that she come to my house to value my property as arranged. She said she was unable to leave the office as she had an appointment with another client. I was very upset and annoyed to find that Leah was not coming and expressed that it should not be necessary to call me on the day of the appointment as well as send a reminder by text the day before the appointment, especially as it was me that made the appointment in the first place! I DID NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR LEAH TO CALL ME AT 9:30AM ON THE 18th ... the appointment was made for her to ATTEND on the 18th! Leah's excuse was that her call was a "courtesy call" and that had I answered her call she would have been able to attend. The text message reminder is surely courtesy enough! There is no need for anymore than that! I was extremely upset and annoyed that she wasn't coming. She offered instead to come at 5:30pm. I was exasperated because her so called "courtesy call" which I felt was "overkill" caused my day to be messed up. I really felt that Leah's apology was insincere but I accepted her offer of a 5:30pm appointment. Much later in the day I received another phone call from Leah asking if I had seen the email from her. I said that so far that day I had not checked my emails (I don't spend all my time attached to my phone checking emails!). She said that she had to cancel the 5:30 appointment. Rather than enter into any further dialogue with Leah, feeling that any expression of dissatisfaction would be lost on her, I simply said "ok" and hung up. When I checked my emails I discovered there were 2 from Leah ... one cancelling the 5:30pm appointment and another one cancelling the valuation altogether! In all my days I have never come across such an appalling way of treating a client (blaming the client for cancellation of an appointment because she didn't hear the phone! I mean ... who does that?). Really ... is this the right way to treat a potential client? Is this how Peter Alan's business is run? Do all Peter Alan's staff treat potential clients this way? So, I checked the reviews given by other customers of Peter Alan Estate Agents ... conclusion? FIND ANOTHER ESTATE AGENT!Since posting this review which was duly forwarded to Peter Alan Estate Agent, I have NOT received any communication from either himself or anyone else in the company ... so much for COURTESY! An apology from the top would have gone a long way towards repairing my now very low opinion of the company.
