Appalling level of service. I have been letting my property for 2 years with Abbotts and was assured the first inspection was completed. I didn't feel the need to follow up with this, as I pay for a 'managed' service so wanted to reduce my time spent and in turn additional stress. It has now come to light when asking for evidence of this (due to the tenants reluctance at me coming with a contractor to fix something) that no inspections have been made. Even more frustrating is that no apology has been made, just ignored emails and calls. It is now being investigated by the internal complaints department prior to the Property Ombudsman. Through Abbotts negligence my property I expect will now have significant damage. Abbotts also asked if I wanted a boiler service through their contractor but I informed them I had already organised this myself. My plumber arrived only to be told that the boiler had been serviced as the tenants had assumed the contractor Abbotts had sent, was my plumber. Abbotts then tried to make me pay for this, despite it being their own error through overlooking my email and me still having to pay my plumber. I decided to get the property valued, sales team called only to get myself mixed up with the tenants and my name wrong. This wouldn't normally be a major issue but when you want to trust someone to sell something of such value and a professional service to enhance the sale of your property this isn't very re-assuring......my advice on both sales and lettings......go elsewhere.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Dean is a top guy. Excellent service throughout what was to be a difficult, lengthy lease hold sale, though no fault of Abbotts. Legal and lenders being exceptionally picky but got there in the end.

Absolutely outraged by the check out service provided here. No deposit or communication received, 5 weeks after leaving property. I would steer clear of this company as the process of receiving your deposit back are non existent. The communication is so poor, that they are breaching every clause of their contract. I had to put 1 star but it deserves -10 stars. I will be seeking legal advice so please ensure before you rent of these guys that check out other more ethical companies.

I have resenly rented a property in Chelmsford and I can honestly say that dealing with Abbotts has been first class, my agent was Jessica and from the first phone call I made to Abbotts was to Jessica a lovely young lady who is well on top of things with updates, information and keeping me in touch with what's happening and when, they even carry out follow up calls after you have moved in to check all is well. I would totally recommend Abbotts to anyone looking to rent, friendly helpful service.

I have used a lot of estate agents in the past but none compare to Abbott's, Chelmsford. I was recommended by a friend and was introduced to Ben and Bukola who were fantastic, instantly they built a quick relationship with me their efficiency in dealing with my requests, by either telephone or email were second to none nothing was too much to ask which made me feel at ease. Recently used Abbott's, Chelmsford and this being my first experience with them and it definitely wont be my last they are a fantastic letting agency. My problems were addressed quickly and efficiently. I dealt with two main port of contacts these being Ben and Bukola both of them very proficient and nothing was too much to ask, they found me a professional tenant very quickly . Splendid service from Scott Cracknell. Our property sold within 2 weeks after disastrously being on the market unsold for 5 months with another local Estate Agent. From the outset their attention to detail was very reassuring, and the printed sales brochure they produced represented the property very accurately and in great detail and clarity.
