I recently sold an inherited property through Abbotts, the whole team were great starting out with Dean and following on with Lianna Franklin. To complicate the situation I live in the US so things had to be done, in person, in a small window and then followed up on line and by texts and phone calls. Dean could not have been more helpful, I’m very grateful for his assistance and advice. Lianna has been extremely diligent with updates and all communications. I think it must a great office environment as everyone seems so bright and cheerful. I cannot fault their service and I would definitely recommend them. Thank you all.

Abbots was a wonderful estate agency to consult during my search for a property. They had a wide range of properties available and really listened to my needs ever time I realised I would like to see something else in a property. They always let me attend last minute to viewings and were very flexible with my ever changing schedule. They also offered a lot of help with offering other services such as surveyors and solicitors. I would especially like to thank Lianna for being so attentive and going above and beyond to show me all that is available and introduce me to chelsmford as a city. I definitely recommend choosing this agency when considering property to buy!

I really cannot say enough good things about my experience with Abbotts Chelmsford. I used them due to another local Estate Agent being seemingly incapable of processing the sale of my house. My experience with Abbotts was completely different. Although a challenging sale to say the least, Lianna Franklin persisted in chasing Solicitors and keeping me updated throughout the whole process. I was consulted by Gary Jenkins and Sophie for buying out first ever home in UK- Today is the key handover. They were extremely helpful throughout the process. I sent them numerous amount of email quering this and that; they gave reply to my emails with answers everytime without failure. They gave us a warm welcome from the beginning and later when we changed our home design according to the limited budget, we were consulted by others. Even after that Gary and Sophie kept helping us with general queries- as it was hard to get to our original team. Gary and Sophie also helped us to choose our home within our budget and Sophie also very kindly pulled out some renovated house options, if we were interested. I requested to rent a property and Abbotts have been one of the few companies that will offer help (I’m a full time student). I have only ever lived with my family or in university accommodation, but Joe and Chloe were so helpful and were willing to sit down with me and go through the documents so I knew what it meant. We brought a bungalow from a seller using Abbott’s at the beginning of the year. Tim @ Kings Lynn branch truly went above & beyond for us. He attended extra viewings, even on his Saturday day offs. He kept us updated as to progress. But above all else he was in constant contact with the seller & their solicitor, pushing them along to get the sale through in the timeframe we needed. He made endless phone calls, got involved in paperwork where he had no obligation to & was always on the end of the phone when we needed him. Would recommend Tim to anyone. We had an exceptionally good experience selling via Abbotts. We were selling an inherited property following a bereavement and Abbotts were sensitive, helpful, professional and honest throughout the process. We had already tried different agents who were very keen to list the property, but then seemed to make no efforts in actually marketing it, and had been very poor at communication. We switched to Abbotts and the property was valued by Dean, who gave us a valuation we were happy with but that was not artificially inflated. He was also honest and helpful about what things we could do or change to help the property sell. Once it was listed, we got regular helpful feedback from Sophie and Claire, who managed the viewings and had actively marketed the property to the right kinds of buyers. A sale was agreed and throughout the process up to exchange and completion we continued to get excellent feedback, with Sophie and Claire often passing on news and updates before our lawyers did. We feel that we received an excellent service from all at Abbotts throughout the sale process. Unlike other agents, they did not give falsely high valuations or attempt to mislead us or the buyers at any stage, and all were refreshingly honest and communicative throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Abbotts to anyone for the excellent and professional service they offer. They are head and shoulders above all the other agents we dealt with, and from the frequent interaction we had and the amount of work they undertook, I feel they also offer very good value.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. They prioritised sending the right person round rather than the number of people they sent round. Then, after we sold they were very helpful in the conveyancing process. They have a specific department for that who was able to explain things when I was unsure and to liaise with solicitors and the other agents. When problems arose they were key in resolving it and finding the right solution. While we worked mainly with Joanna from Thorpe Bay we also had a lot of help from Amy on the after sale. They have also continued to support us after the sale.
