Not your Stereotypical Estate agent! Estate agent stereotypes exist for a reason, many of the agents we looked at when trying to sell our property fell into this category. Then we found Goodfellows. The team at Goodfellows Cheam, Stefan, Sabrina, and Lorraine were fantastic throughout the whole process of selling and it was certainly a difficult process (all caused by the agent above us). Despite misinformation, ups and downs in a aggressive market, the team went well above and beyond to help us, keep us sane and when we lost our buyer (due to circumstances well out of anyone’s control) the team had new buyers lined up within 8 hours and we had sold again in a week. Throughout this, they helped us through everything, including our search and Stefan went well outside his remit chasing down the chain and solicitors when other agents wouldn’t even reply to an email. Whilst many people will be driven by commission and glossy sales brochures to pick an agent, my advice would be: “Pick the agent you would be happy to speak to regularly, that you want to do business with and that gives you the feeling that you can trust them”. We looked at 7 agents and picked Goodfellows for this reason and we did not regret it ever. There are cheaper and bigger companies, but selling your home is stressful and you need a team that will work for you and with you from start to finish; not just chase the numbers and hands off when an offer is accepted. And as Stefan says “this is a team effort” and it is imperative to have a good team. In an industry filled with shiny suited sales people, who treat you as if it is a privilege for you to have them charge you, for often doing very little, Goodfellows in Cheam stand, not just head and shoulders above, but on a different level to all the others we looked at. If you are in their catchment area, I would not hesitate to recommend them. Actually, just ask if they will help you, even if you’re not in their area. They are that good to work with

We had a very good experience with Goodfellows, Cheam. We are first time buyers. Without this team, it wouldn't have been possible to become a home owner. Initially we worked very closely with Stefan and Sabrina before the offer got accepted. After offer acceptance, Sabrina was very helpful through out the whole process. She always understands when there was a problem or query and made sure we got the response from the seller and their solicitors in a timely manner. For a first time buyer, the process was really smooth and we managed to do completion on our preferred date of 5th September. Thank you so much Sabrina and the whole team!!!

Lorraine, I know the sale of my house was not easy; but through your perseverance and tenacity you kept me informed regularly even though you bore the brunt of my constant phone calls, some of which included a few moans, groans and shouts!! We recently listed our property for rental with Goodfellows and within 2 months they were able to find us tenants who offered our asking price. This was also over the Christmas period so things were a little slower than usual. I would like to call out that Beckie, Yasmin and Fella have all been very helpful and were always available to speak to us when we needed support. This is our first experience of being landlords and the process was not easy, however, they made it very simple and helped us every step of the way. Thank you!

Beckie from Goodfellows has acted highly unprofessionally. While trying to locate a garage for her tenant, she mistakenly opened mine using the same key, left it wide open with all my belongings exposed, and stuck her business card on my car. After meeting with her to clarify that this was not the correct garage and assisting her in finding the right one, she showed no concern for the serious security breach she had committed. I attempted to contact her again, but she refused to return my call, instead having a colleague speak on her behalf. Shockingly, my garage was once again opened with the same key, this time by the new tenant. Had they been properly informed about their assigned garage, this wouldn’t have happened. Now, they are also aware that their key can unlock multiple garages, raising serious security concerns. The dismissive attitude from Beckie’s colleague and the complete lack of accountability prompted me to share my experience here. While Goodfellows may assist with rentals, their agents clearly lack the professionalism and competence to handle serious issues when they arise. Train your staff to communicate properly and take responsibility.

I rarely ever find the time to write reviews anymore, but this person I have dealt with at Goodfellows - Cheam Village deserves the recognition and respect from her managers, Lorraine Green. She is genuinely a one in a million. I have dealt with properties since 2013 and not once have I ever experienced a sales person who truly wants the best for her clients, regardless if they buy from her or not. I dealt with Lorraine back in the Summer and she showed me a property. She was kind, friendly and very informative and honest. She never once pushed me for a sale, she never pestered me, she always followed up and made herself available to me for questions at any time. She was down to earth and felt like a friend upon our first interaction. After the first viewing, I contacted Lorraine almost 4 months later, I mentioned my name and she knew exactly who she was talking to, what my situation was, my motorbike, the fact I had a dog and even remembered my partner didn't turn up to the last viewing! She made a ridiculous amount of effort that I have never seen in anyone before, to remember the tiniest of details about me made me feel like she wasn't just after a sale, she wanted the best for me and was interested in my well being and happiness. A good-hearted person! Lorraine booked a second viewing for me this week, unfortunately I didn't see her on the day but we had a follow up call to find out how the viewing went. I had made an offer on a property elsewhere and this had been accepted, but Lorraine was over the moon for me. She didn't care that I didn't buy from her, she was excited and felt the same relief I had felt after a lengthy stressful time for me trying to find the perfect property. She spent a good while allowing me to ask questions in relation to me buying this property elsewhere, she answered questions I had about conveyancers, mortgages and she went above and beyond to obtain information for me, not forgetting the fact I didn't buy a property from her! Sales members are notoriously known in most industries of pushing for sales and if there is no money in it for them, they are quick to forget you and move onto the next person. This is far from the case with Lorraine. I have agreed to keep her updated through my progress, and God forbid it doesn't work out with this property, Lorraine will be the first person I call. The senior management at this branch as well as directors have to know about Lorraine, I'm not sure if they are aware of this wonderful lady but I hope my words encourage them to reward her and show her the recognition and respect she deserves. To lose her as an employee, this branch will truly experience a major loss and will be a huge blow to the team. I wish Lorraine the absolute best with everything and could not fault her at all with anything. Lorraine, thank you a million times, you will never truly understand how appreciative I am. You have over delivered and never once stopped caring or being outstanding during this pandemic and have always been positive and helpful. If you're selling a property in the surrounding area, Goodfellows is the place to go. Led by the charismatic and passionate Stefan, the team are incredible. We approached a number of agents to sell our family home (that we'd owned for over 40 Years!), Goodfellows were by far the most suitable and competent agent for our sale. The second Stefan stepped through the door, we knew we had to go with them. They listened to our requirements, and managed expectations accordingly. The team put together a comprehensive go-to-market plan for our property, and found us the perfect buyer in a short amount of time. After reaching the point of sale-agreed, Sabrina was responsible for the remaining stages. She checked in with us regularly and made sure everything was progressing as planned.
