GoogleI have only positive things to say about Payne's, who manage two properties for me. They are very efficient, and communication is unfailingly quick and friendly. They have found excellent tenants and given good advice on the rent to charge and any number of other practical matters. Also, their rates are very reasonable.

GoogleSold my house through T Payne & Co. Excellent service and chased up the solicitors wonderfully. Now it is sold I will miss the expert and calm advice. Worth every penny. Taking the time to read some of the comments below I understand why T Payne & Co get there five star rating, at no time during my sale did I feel let down/confused about the process and processes involved they explained all the processes to me clearly accurately and in a professional manner. Their kindness and experience dealing with solicitors was second to none and left me feeling totally calm knowing that it was being left in such safe hands and I can only thank them for their persistence in dealing with the solicitors to achieve the aim of completing the sale.

We have dealt with them on both the sales and letting sides and found them to be honest, motivated and committed to good outcomes fair to both the buyer and seller a very rare thing to find in estate agents. Whilst a lot of the business of selling houses is luck there is also an extremely important element of professionalism and local knowledge. GoogleAsked T Payne and co to value the property, gave an excellent valuation and this was what we were looking to achieve, viewings started immediately with the offers coming in with within 48 hours of marketing, thought this was a great start. We were advised by T Payne and Co to accept the top offer as we had stupidity advised what the minimum figure we were looking to achieve for the property, with us agreeing to the offer we asked T Payne and co to keep the property on the market until the buyers had the survey done but happy to put on hold the viewings for 14 days, it was then fastly approaching 14 days so I personally mystery shopped T Payne and Co and with my horror the agent disclosed my agreed sale price, advised me that the property was off of the market and no more viewings taking place, with the property still on the market or was supposed to have been, agent advised my property SSTC in the local paper, was advised that it was training issues, admin errors. The service simply just went from bad to worse with other major errors just constantly happening. With T Payne and Co not complying with the NAEA rules or the property ombudsman rules I had no choice to re negotiate my fees payable back to them. Really disappointed with the service, and as of yet never received an apology from either of the two directors for the inconvenience caused, the buyers were excellent and did not mess us about during the transaction, one good thing that came out of it.
Your comments have been noted as they have been during the sale process and the issues you feel you have encountered. As Agents we have adhered to the Guidelines set out by the NAEA and the Ombudsman as the sale has proceeded to a satisfactory conclusion in a timely manner. Whilst you feel that we have caused issues with the sale, at every point that you have raised an issue, we have responded in a timely fashion, however you seem to have not been satisfied with anything that has been said in response. We are unable to post any personal details to the sale online as it would be very unprofessional to do so, however we felt that we had resolved the issues by way of reducing our Fee as a gesture of goodwill after you spoke to one of the Directors earlier this week.

GoogleThe only company to use if selling a house in Chatteris. I found them totally professional and always keeping you up to speed with developments. Emails and calls always made to you and their rates are lower than the others too. Tom's staff are adept at what they do and it really has been a pleasure dealing with them. I can't comment on buying a house through them but I would think that would be good too.

GoogleT Payne & Co are an excellent lettings company. I have been renting a property from them for 5 months; the initial checks and references were carried out very swiftly and clearly, any email I sent was answered very quickly and staff in the local office are always very helpful and happy. If I ever have a problem with my rental property I get an email response very quickly and a visit from the plumber/electrician or landlord often on the same day! So I can gladly recommend them highly as they care and always do the best they can for their tenants.

Being completely independent, they are not governed by a faceless head office hundreds of miles away.
