Roy and I first met Kate some twelve years ago when she was working for a local estate agents to have our house valued. We were impressed with her professionalism, friendliness and knowledge then and twelve years later when we finally decided it was time to make the move, we searched Kate out. We found that Kate, now having set up her own independent estate agents, Fox-Beckett, was the obvious choice for us. Her knowledge of the local area (being a resident herself), and the knowledge of the ever changing industry of buying and selling is second to none! Kate's knowledge of Caversham and the community within certainly helped in finding the perfect buyers for our house. She had a family in mind and secured the sale before actually putting the house on the open market. From the beginning stages of preparing the house to sell to completion day, we couldn't have asked for anyone kinder, more positive, more personable and more knowledgeable to sell our house. As Kate is independent you get the care and attention that you don’t get with the larger franchises. The house that we bought had a complex history, and without that personal touch provided by Kate, coordinating the vender, solicitors, valuers, surveyors and contractors, the sale would not have completed. Tenacious was mentioned in another review, but also supportive and empathetic. I have only worked with Fox-Beckett in purchasing a property, but as all communication was professional and Kate conducted herself with integrity, I would also expect this to be the experience when buying and selling.

I was buying a house that Kate was the estate agent for and I couldn’t recommend her enough! Kate is such a great Estate Agent as she really cares. My house had tenants in when I listed the house for sale and she was the only estate agent in Caversham who included their needs in planning the sale and this was important to me. She had plenty of viewings and house sold pretty quickly. She kept me up to date all through the journey and even vacuumed the carpet after the buyer’s surveyor left a bit of a mess. Would highly recommend 👍

I'm so glad that we sold our house with Kate. To have one person handle the whole process was very reassuring, and add to that Kate's tenaciousness and regular communication throughout the process, never skipping a phone call if it would help ensure that people who needed to be nudged or do some nudging actually got round to it. Kate's personable and friendly manner on top of it all meant I very much felt in safe hands. I felt that she was completely committed, professional and had good attention to detail which I lacked from other agents who valued our house. Kate was happy to go beyond what you might expect from a bigger company - with weekend calls and messages, regular visits to check on the house as we vacated it before completion, communicating with our neighbours, etc. We were determined to sell with an independent firm, but I'm especially glad to have come across Kate, and highly recommend her services.
