The Hern & Crabtree was our choice when we decided to sell our home in Cardiff last summer, and it was the BEST DECISION we ever made. They were outstanding, very professional and very friendly.We spoke with Tom, from the Hern&Crabtree, on the phone and then we met with him at our home. He answered all our questions, providing objective data regarding how many homes they sell, how long their listings typically stay on the market, and providing tons of info on the property market in the area.Tom came back to us with very realistic and fair valuation; then, within a few days Ben, from Hern&Crabtre, came to our property to take the pictures of our apartment. Everything was very quick and smooth.And ...when we saw our listing we were blown away. Their hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - our listing looked amazing!!!! Our situation was also quite specific and different than other people since we were moving abroad; and our property went on the market after we moved. The team from Hern & Crabtree Pontcanna office took care of everything: they regularly came to check on our property, informed us about all viewings before and after, and they replied to any email or any call promptly. And yes, they managed to sell the property very quickly for a price greater than our asking price was.They have been there every step of the way. Their professionalism, knowledge, honesty, and hard work ethic are much respected and appreciated.We were so fortunate to choose Hern & Crabtree and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

Top-notch service!

Another fantastic experience with Hern & Crabtree. The photography and presentation of the property was first-rate, but most importantly the communication with the team at the Llandaff office is always excellent - they are friendly, incredibly helpful and go out of their way to make the process as smooth as possible - the peace of mind it gives knowing you can pop in for advice at any time cannot be underestimated. I have used them for numerous house sales/purchases over the years - in my experience Hern & Crabtree is by far the best estate agency in Cardiff and very highly recommended.

Hern and Crabtree were the agents who I was buying my property from. Arranging a viewing was very easy, Owen was very helpful and communicated well in the early stages. All the team communicated well with each other. Jan Street in the progressions team, well what can I say, she kept me sane through a tricky move. Always honest and reassuring with lots of experience of the buying/selling process. Exceptional communication, always got back to you if she was unable to speak to you at the time and would follow things up efficiently. Thank you to the Hern and Crabtree team.

Start to finish - Great team. Sensible advise on selling price and showing our home for marketing to SELL. Once buyers secured the progression team (Jan Street) good at keeping us updated and staying calm in our mini crisis when our buyers buyer pulled out, but thankfully our buyers secured new buyers. H n C Llandaff Office were excellent. Recommended conveyor also gave us a professional service. If we sell again in Cardiff they'll be our first point of call.

Have received excellent service from all at Hern and Crabtree, Heath. We sold on our open day for the full asking price. Everyone has been most helpful, professional and efficient. We dealt with Anthony and Stephanie mostly, as well as progression chaser Jan. Have no complaints at all and, having moved a few times, Hern and Crabtree, Heath, are by far the best we have experienced compared to other Estate Agents we’ve used.Jan, who I believe is based in Whitchurch branch, has been really great at chasing the progression of the chain and has kept us updated with frequent feedback. If we ever decide to move in the future I would certainly use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Excellent service for both lettings and sales.

Our house was Managed by Hern and Crabtree for 10 years and then sold by them in June 2018. We have therefore had experience both of their lettings and sales teams.I think that one main thing that makes this Company stand out from the rest is that the team are very knowledgeable and approachable. We were given a realistic selling price for our home, and subseqently this resulted in a fast sale. Mike and the team were brilliant helping us with our recent property sale. They kept us informed all of the way and helped us achieve a great price for our property. The photos of the property were brilliant which definitely helped us get a large number of viewings. The sales progression was handled calmly and smoothly and I get the impression this would have also been good for our buyer - something to bear in mind as some sales progression teams at other agents can be most unhelpful and very pushy. My wife and I recently bought and sold through Hern & Crabtree, and I must say the staff really went the extra mile for us. They were very patient with our questions, and provided fantastic advice and recommendations. We were under pressure due to the nature of the market to get our property sold, and the staff (particularly Anthony Poole) got the house on the market, viewed and sold in double-quick time. Selling a house can be very stressful for very many reasons and I am so grateful to Hern & Crabtree for their help. When our first buyer fell through Ben and his team at H&C in Pontcanna were really proactive (on it like a car bonnet in fact!) and literally within hours had another 3 people viewing the property. Within a very short time they found us another buyer at the required price and all went through quite quickly despite the circumstances not being straightforward. They were rubbish

They were rubbish - vague in detail and absolutely awful in all of the most important ways. They recommended a gas engineer who provided us with a certificate while in the process of buying a house, only for that house to have a severe gas leak where the engineer claims to have checked a few months later. We were lucky to catch the leak early, but their lack of basic professionalism in recommending someone so unprofessional and dangerous could have been life threatening. I notified them about this and they have not bothered to get back to me, which follows the lack of basic attention from them with all other communications I have had with them to date.
