Had a viewing with Connor from the Albany Road branch. Connor was friendly and informative. He gave us the space needed when viewing a property, but was on hand to respond to any questions or queries that we had. Connor was open and honest with his answers, which we appreciated. Follow up phone call was made to see if we had any further queries and to reassure us that he is contactable when needed. Highly recommend.

No interest in tenant welfare and no interest in arranging repairs

If I could give zero I would. Absolutely appalling tenant care from Darlows Albany Road and Darlows property management, Cardiff.Our boiler broke last winter and we had an absolute nightmare trying to get it fixed. We just could not get hold of property management, they only really answer before lunchtime. Then when a contractor was finally appointed to us they took 5 days to come out and look at it, and then told us he needed a few more days to get the part to fix it! This was during the winter when it was snowing too so we spent a week without heating in the freezing cold!! (luckily still had hot water). We asked for reduced rent to compensate for this but they would not entertain the idea (i am aware this is probably not a ‘done thing’ by lettings agents)Not only this, but now our boiler has broke again! We used their automated fixflo website when it happened last night, our situation was deemed of high importance but not urgent. The automated message said that a contractor had been assigned and would get in touch with us within an hour. That was 19 hours ago! But now we don't have hot water or heating (currenrly November) and now we’re having the same struggles with property management.All i can say is thank god I am moving out of this property soon, they are an absolute shambles of a company. I will be formally complaining to both their head office and my local council.AVOID RENTING WITH DARLOWS IF YOU CAN I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS HAD THIS SORT OF EXPERIENCE!!!Edit: Boiler was repaired day after reporting as we called Darlows’ head office. Boiler has not been fully repaired and was temporarily fixed (pending on landlord’s approval for a boiler service)

Communications pretty poor

Been trying to get hold of the property management at Merthyr for a couple of weeks with no success. I spoke to somebody maybe a month ago about a contract extension. The contract sent through was wrong and I've left messages, sent countless emails and even asked the sales team to give them a nudge.Nobody answers the phone in the PM department. I would visit but it's so far away and Merthyr is in the back end of absolutely nowhere.I know that nobody is dying and it's just a contract but our tenancy is up next week and it's super annoying. If the property was flooding, we would have all drowned by now.This isn't the 5 star level of service that they are known to strive for.

I would like to thanks Darlows for all their hard work in helping Rhian Grainger find her home. Over the past few months I have spoken to many estate agents on her behalf and never felt they were interested in Rhian’s situation and dismissed us straight away. So you can imagine how stressful and upsetting this situation was. When Rhian first rang Darlows she was fortunate enough to speak to Tristram who assisted her with everything possible. We recently signed a tenancy agreement with Darlows to rent a house in Cardiff. Initial contact was made with Cai Daniels from Darlows Albany Road who helped us through the process every step of the way. From initial visit, to the follow up visit and all the paper work too. Although early days in the property, if the time living here is as easy as securing the house and moving in then we shouldn’t have any issues. I was desperately looking for a property to rent Cardiff , it was very hard to get even a viewing as by the time viewing arrived the property had gone . I applied for viewing of a 3 bed house with Darlows at 8 am on Rightmove and I got a call at 9 am to arrange the viewing. The viewing was arranged for 12 30 for the same day . I made an offer for let and the offer was accepted and the paper work started to happen same day . I wanted house asap and I will have to tell you Cai Daniels left nio stone unturned to get this done . There are very few places that make things happen under tightest timeline and Cai Daniels did that for me. I got the house with in 5 working days . Whilst other estate agents were working on 2 or 3 week timeline , this man in Darlows did that in 5 days!! Cant fault him one bit well done and thank you Cai

My daughter has recently just purchased her first home being sold by Darlows and what should have been a straightforward purchase become for a number of reasons, (none to do with estate agents)a long and stressful few months but through it all Darlows have been amazing, I would particularly like to thank Donna Stonelake who without her amazing support my daughter would had definitely lost her purchase which she was desperate to buy.
