TrustpilotI've been with Your Move for a number of years
I've been with Your Move for a number of years now and I have had a good relationship with them whether it's sales or lettings and they have been really good at looking after my interests. In the last year I have had some challenging times and I have had to rely on Your Move members of staff to give me help and advice which has been really helpful.

TrustpilotDevastated and left in the dark
We rented for your move, on Friday 25th we reported a leak that started early morning, I reported at 9am nobody come out to look at the leak despite me calling several times to tell them the leak was getting worse and the ceiling was going to come down, they said someone come but no one was in which is absolutely untrue as I was in all day Friday and told them on several occasions I would be! Then on Saturday I called 56 times to be told they will try but can’t promise I told them that there was two under threes living in the house and pets they seemed very unfazed and told me that there was nothing more that could be done, I moved my children out for their safety and thank god I did the ceiling come down on the Sunday! I continued to call on Monday the landlord come out and agreed it was unliveable so we would have to move out as the work would take months to do, I did not hear anything from this company until the following Friday were they called me up to tell me my stuff needs to be moved out the flat, after I said I had nowhere for it to go as I am now homeless they said I would be reported if I did not hand back the keys that day! I then spoke to the director which is the first contact I had with him! He proceeded to tell me that because the landlord had take the property out of their care it wasn’t their problem but they would try to find me somewhere! So now I’m homeless with two young children, this has to be the single most devastating thing to happen to us as a family, we have lost our home and they are more concerned with making sure the landlord keeps the rest of his portfolio with them then trying to rehouse me and my babies after their mistake left us homeless we are devastated and broken currently living in my mothers studio flat so I don’t have to move my children into a hostel all because they could not act fast enough, please for the sake of your family’s stay awayWould also just like to say that your move did not act fast enough their emergency line is a lie they say 24hrs but they lie! I called 110 over that weekend none of this had to happen! I was offered a hostel from council in the middle of a town where I have no family or friends close by this is why I declined it! You are still at fault for not acting quick enough so not only did you destroy my home you destroyed the landlords house I am not surprised he’s dis instructed you I would as well! The fact you still can’t take accountability for this just proves how much tenant care means to you

Hi Megan,We’re sorry that you’ve had such a bad experience and sympathise with you and your family being such an unforeseen and distressing situation. As a business we take tenant care extremely seriously. Unfortunately as the landlord had dis-instructed us as their letting agent they we were unable to obtain their approval to get the problem fixed. Tenant safety is always a number one priority and as the property was deemed unsafe the landlord invoked their right to ask you to leave. Unfortunately neither ourselves or the landlord had any other available stock which is why our branch staff even looked online at other agents stock to see if there was anything suitable for you and your children which there wasn’t. I also understand that what you were offered as emergency housing by the council was not suitable. We hope that you manage to find another suitable home soon and that you and your children are very happy there.Regards,Your Move

GoogleLove the agency.. Just rented a flat from them.. had a quick look at their website and registered my interest.. they got back to me on the next day.. arranged a viewing within a few days and once I was happy with the flat, the referencing was done very swiftly by an agency called lettingshub.. they are fantastic .. you can track your progress, upload documents and amend them all in one place.. They also helped me with an all inclusive utility bill package and insurance coverage ! .. Can’t complain about anything..
Also, just give them a ring if anything is needed and they are usually quick to answer and sort the issue
My special thanks to Izzy for being so lovely and helpful
I highly appreciate the easy and straightforward process
Would definitely recommend it to anyone 👍

GoogleMyself and my partner viewed a house with Your Move in August and had a fantastic experience. Although we didn’t proceed with the property, we had spent all day viewing houses with different estate agency’s but can 100% day Hannah was absolutely amazing and was so personable and passionate about the property and is a great credit to your move. She was accompanied by a colleague who was new to the company (sorry I can’t remember the name) but both of them were so friendly and really stood out from everyone we met that day. Should we come to sell our house in the future I’d 100% go to these guys 😊

TrustpilotDon’t rent your property with YourMove
As per other reviews , I would strongly advise not to use the fully managed service from this company (or anything to do with rental from them) . Their definition of managed limit itself to take your money and get contract signed. I have had 2 tenants and had to take one of them to court. They maintenance service is decentralised being managed out of Manchester ( house is in Worcestershire) and they take ages to reply ( if ever). This results with disputes with the tenants . No regular inspection is done . My tenants left 4 weeks ago with damages in the property . Some were reported by the tenant as water leak and the agent did not do anything about it despite having instruction to deal with it. This lack of action resulted in substantial water damage . They just don’t care ! Stay away .

GoogleAs a former owner of an estate agency business in the USA responsible for 100's of millions in sales, I was overall disappointed by the team of Bianca, Steve and Rupert Canterbury office in handling a straight forward cash sale with no chain. At times they were fine but when things mattered there was a lack of proactive hands-on approach. We found we had to chase them during the process.
It's a responsibility when taking on a listing to know everything there is about the property, management, seller situation and be prepared to relay that information to perspective buyers. These guys are really just in the business of taking the listing on and that's about it- any monkey could do that and in fact a monkey would do better no doubt.
If you are a seller and thinking of hiring this firm, pause and really evaluate if its worth it.
Update, Jan 6th: Reply to Steve, Branch Manager response to my review: Steve says my review was "unfair" quite the contrary, it is very accurate and I could go into alot of more details. Steve was not involved much at all until the very end, in fact, we asked him to step in weeks before when we were having issues with this transaction. On the day of the completion, we had to call him, just to get the keys to the property- he or his staff should have been more on top of things. Then excuse that, their office did not deal directly with the Seller is a lie, we have emails that prove otherwise. This deal was supposed to close well before Christmas as well. I think this office mostly deals with rentals and maybe they are one of these cut price firms which is why we did not get a top buying experience as anyone should.

Good Morning Paul, thank you for your feedback. Being a former agent yourself you will appreciate more than most than any feedback is important, good or bad, as we can only continue to grow and improve the business by knowing how our clients feel.
I do however feel that lot of what you have said is unfair. We were always available and tried our very best to gather information, for all 3 parties we were dealing with on your side, in a quick and speedy manner. We did explain that we were not dealing with the owner directly, as he was acting on behalf of his mother, so a lot of the information took him slightly longer to obtain than if he had lived there himself.
Also your understanding of a cash buy may be different to ours. The cash was coming from the sale of a property. A property that you exchanged and completed on without the onward being ready, meaning that your mother in law became homeless, which in my opinion added a large amount of stress and emotion to a purchase, which wasn't needed.
We are certainly not in the business of "taking the listing on and that's about it" Unless a sale gets to completion we do not get paid, so that model certainly wouldn't work.
As I say, I do take your comments on board and will relay this to my team and as always, we will look to be better. If you would like to discuss this further then you have my email address already or my mobile number is 07876 123589.
Finally I will take this opportunity to wish your mother in law every happiness in her new home.

TrustpilotPoor Service throughout
Lack of communication between you, me and the tenant. As in zero communication for months. Tenant moved out, I wasn’t told for 2 months. Loss of rent payment.Lack of control over the tenant. Property was left open once vacated (garage). This should have been checked. Loss of earnings (tenant hasn’t paid and still paying house insurance whilst property empty).Poor photographs and written detail when my house was put on the market. Locks were changed and no new keys were provided to me. ‘Check out’ wasn’t done until 3 months later. Improve all the above, you might do okay.

TrustpilotIncompetent? Or lack of care?
I can't figure out if the staff at Your Move are incompetent or perhaps they just do not care. How can a big organisation operate like this? No one is available to help. When you do get through to someone, they do not know what they are doing. There is only one person who can help with your issue, who is never available. Been trying to get hold of the "right" person in their maintenance team to sort an ongoing issue for over a month now - Promised call backs, never get them. Still yet to have any update from Your Move with what is happening. Will not rent with them again.

TrustpilotNot recommend!
I tried to buy a flat last year with this agency. The flat was located in Gidea Park, Elizabeth House. Everything went well, the price of the flat was 240,000.After 2 weeks, Eugen increased the price to 250,000, forcing me to give up. After 3 months, I saw the flat sold for 230,000.I did not understand even today what happened, so I do not recommend this agency.Thank you

TrustpilotYour Move Canterbury office doesn't…
Your Move Canterbury office doesn't deserve this one star, but you can't post a review without the minimum of one. Unprofessional, unhelpful, incompetent, disrespectful, liars. I cannot advise strongly enough against not dealing with them, particularly Rupert. Our family are considering legal action against this office because of the extra expense it cost us by them not doing their job and the unbearable stress this caused. They simply just don't care - period. If you can avoid listing or buying a property with Your Move Canterbury you will save money and undue stress from their incompetence.

TrustpilotCanterbury office team failure- of Rupert
The Canterbury office team of Rupert, Bianca and Steve were simply just not up to par overall with a transaction that completed today. This was an easy cash deal yet we found them not to be proactive and at times quite arrogant and not very knowledgeable on the property they listed. Their lack of overall professionalism cost us extra time and solicitor fees to get this easy cash transaction done. At a time when property sales are down, you wouid of thought they would be more on top of things. We finally moved our 86 year mother in law today at Abbots Lodge in Canterbury. We were the buyers- my recommendation is if you are looking to list your property, get another office to handle.

TrustpilotMake it difficult to purchase a house (buyers perspective)
Terrible communication between the office branch and sales progression. When I received my survey of the property I was purchasing, sales progression were really bad at explaining the report to the vendor. Once I had moved in to the property, all of the work sales progression had agreed to on behalf of the vendor, had not been done! Property was a mess when I moved in, the vendor had nailed the loft door shut which revealed a swimming pool sized leak beneath the boiler. One of the guys had told me the property had fallen through, a week before completion, when in fact it hadn't. I would never purchase a property that required a homebuyers or a building survey, as there is no negotiation or recommendation entertained between progression and the vendor. They were quick off the mark harassing me for home insurance, however. This is the third property I've purchased and I've never had such a bother before Your Move!

It was a pleasure to welcome Jade into our home to do our valuation. She was very professional as well as friendly and explained the selling process in a manner which was easily understood. TrustpilotDisappointing and underwhelming
Disappointing and underwhelming estate agent despite a very good salesman pressuring us into high pricing of our home.Tim is an excellent sales person and I'm ashamed to say I let him manipulate myself and my wife. He pushed us to market our house at a price we were uncomfortable with and subsequently had to drop twice in order to secure an offer. (Surprise surprise, the price was dropped to a level we suggested during our initial chats)Poor communication from the company in general, having to chase them for feedback from viewings and chase them to drop the price when nothing was happening. This did improve after we complained but that's typical reactive service rather than the proactive service promised. Disappointingly a number of people approached us directly to express an interest in our property as Yourmove didn't respond to queries or messages left with them.Very pushy when we were eventually SSTC and not giving us any breathing room despite making it abundantly clear we are struggling to find our onward move home. Pushing for various solicitors fees through their partner company which is considerably overpriced compared to most solicitors.Yourmove were by far the most expensive agent we had valuations for and we were fooled into thinking they would be a safe bet.I cannot recommend them at all based on our experience and have heard similar horror stories from neighbours.

TrustpilotPoor communication and no consideration…
Poor communication and no consideration for difficult personal circumstances. I viewed a property to rent late in the afternoon and it was a lovely place, I was very interested in moving there. After viewing the properly I had thought of a question that I wanted to ask. I emailed in (as advised by the representative on the day, who was also late and did not arrive until after we had viewed the property, the current tenant showed us around). I received an automated out of office reply and that they would be in the next day. I needed an answer for this as it has implications for giving notice at my current tenancy (not with Your Move). I did not hear anything so I called in the morning only to be advised the property had already gone to someone else. Before my question had even been answered so I had no chance. There was nothing more I could have done as the office was closed when I thought of my question. I have been struggling with my mental health recently and I was very hopeful of moving to this property to help lift me a little, so to have it unfairly taken away like that is a damaging blow and has left me feeling a bit depressed.I hope Your Move will be able to offer me a property of the same size and same price, if not less. If they can't then that is a lesson learned on my end.
