This is the third time myself and my wife have used Ward's as a company within the last 15 years. We received a great experience from the Gillingham and Chatham branches, but Canterbury have been, and still are providing a fantastic level of service. Dubious, untrustworthy and zero integrity. Please avoid!

Avoid this dubious, untrustworthy and awful company at all costs. Wards took an alternative offer to a seller after I had instructed solicitors following acceptance of my offer. I should have known they use dubious tactics after I offered the full guide price and Wards quickly suggested the seller needed more money, despite the fact we were the only offer being considered. Following acceptance of the offer, I was asked by Wards to instruct the solicitors they recommended (they receive a referral fee) at the earliest opportunity. Two days later, Wards called and informed me they had taken another offer to the seller, bypassing our sale agreement and demonstrating a complete lack of integrity. The alternative offer was accepted, the sale fell through and I am currently out of pocket as a result of a desperate clamber to boost a senior managers commission. If you want to sell your home, please use an alternative firm to ensure that your home is being sold by people with a moral compass. If you want to buy a home, please avoid going through Wards, as they simply can’t be trusted.

My complet help and direction came from staff named Mr. Ryan Gifford. He was a total gentlman and very knowlegable in his work and wish him all the best. Mr. Ryan was with me and my wife evey steps in finding a property that was matched with our tast and budget. Mr. Ryan with his direction, knowledge and his caring about his customer saved me almost 100,000 pound and me and my wife are both indebted to him and his organization Word Estate Management. However, one point that I would like to make towards the attorneys who were supposed to stand by me and get the sale finilized within a normal duration of 4 to 6 weeks closing, but it took 4 months; it was claimed by the lawers that they had to wait for the seller´s redemption.

I Poorly Built Block Partition Discovered in New‑Build Home

I purchased this house new approximately 17.5 years ago. Recently, during a bathroom renovation, the drywall was removed, revealing a partition made of grey blocks. These blocks appear to be poorly secured to each other, as the partition moves slightly when touched. It is evident that the mortar used to join these blocks does not properly bind them together. This raises serious concerns about the structural reliability of the construction. I recommend potential buyers pay close attention to such partitions and conduct a thorough inspection to avoid future issues.

We are so grateful we moved to Wards Canterbury after a disastrous 6 months with another agent. We had a very tricky relocation planned to the North of England, my husband worked away, I’m unwell and caring for a family with complex special needs, so I was terrified.
