We are currently arranging sale of our property, and house hunting in the Canterbury area. I can highly recommend Miles and Barr for their support so far. They have been very speedy in setting up viewings, quick to respond to queries, and good support/helpful advice from Graham on the sale of our own house. Georgia has been really great - she's been very quick responding to our viewing requests and followed up straight away with the owner re. queries. She's been knowledgeable on the properties and also a really friendly person to chat to going around.

On the whole a good experience

Can not fault the start of the process, The Sales staff were brilliant, we felt they were honest and helpful, always coming back to us when we had questions. They didn't really have to sell our house as we were lucky enough to sell to our first viewer. We were not impressed by the, all be it, indirect pressure we had from their panel solicitors, despite our clearly stating we would not use them, they kept trying to get us to and labelling it as a 'mistake' if that is the case take note of our instruction that we are not using them the first time and do not continue to try and get us to sign up with panel solicitors.Once sold, although our Sales Progressor was very friendly and a nice person, we felt everything slipped from this point, we could rarely actually speak with her, we could always leave a message but she rarely called back, preferring it seemed, to email. She did eventually provide an adequate service and get things moving for us, but we felt only because we would not give up and continuously chased things.However, despite the disappointment of the after sale process, on the whole we had a good experience, the staff were all friendly and we can understand why M&B have a good reputation. We would definitely recommend them as they are, on the whole, very good at what they do.

I appointed Miles and Barr to help sell my 2 bed flat. The initial property inspection was professional and hassle free much like the other estate agents I had around. Their valuation of my property was the most realistic out of the three companies. I arranged photos to be taken and paid extra for the 360 degree walkthrough option. The photos came out well and the property was posted within a few days before the Christmas period, something other estate agents would not promise to do. Their fees were slightly higher than other seller however they were selling a similar flat in the development which had been on the markert approximately 9 months prior and was facing significant delays in the selling process. I went with Miles and Barr as they would have information on this property and the issues they were facing. I was also not going to be in the area anymore so I wanted a larger company who could manage everything. I fortunately only required one viewing so I cannot comment on the extended selling process but was happy with how they booked in viewings and provided feedback. Rebecca Gravener was appointed my sales progressor and was amazing. From start to finish this was a difficult sale as expected dealing with an unresponsive management company. Rebecca was excellent at chasing delays, being honest with me about the situation and managing both parties through a delayed sale process. I truly believe without picking Miles and Barr and getting Rebecca’s support my sale would not have completed. Overall I was very happy with Miles and Barr and Rebecca. Yes they cost more but I feel I got a better service for that increased fee.

On a (very) long journey of trying to find properties and a number of viewings that was downright exhausting, they were great all along the way. In particular I want to shout out Georgia who was great at every viewing I went to with her. Questions were answered and any that she didn't have the details for on the spot (which were very few) she followed up very quickly with answers over emails. She definitely made some of the viewings far less stressful and much more comfortable to be going around. Though I didn't end up going with a property they had on their books, many of the ones I was shown or recommended by them made the shortlist and I'll definitely be using them if I ever move.

Enjoyed the journey!

At first, we felt so frustrated with Miles & Barr as they wouldn't let us view anything until we had accepted an offer on our place. However, once we were in a proceedable position, we were able to view a big selection of properties very quickly. When we were in a position to make an offer M&B responded very quickly and kept lines of communication open. We wanted to say thank you to Rhyss, Alfie and Fran from the Canterbury office for keeping our spirits up when we thought we'd never find the right place, and their patience. It felt like we went on a real journey and in the end, it was made more enjoyable because of the people we dealt with.

We have just completed on the sale of our buy to let. It’s been a difficult and long one for various reasons but the team at Canterbury M&B never gave up. The viewings were done professionally with regular updates and hard work in getting a steady flow of viewings. I was notified every time there was a viewing and I could look up on the link to see appointment times and feedback. Rhyss was exceptional in always answering my calls, or calling me back as soon as he could and always replied to emails.
