Martyn Gerrards estate agents worked really well, with us and for us, resulting in a relatively swift purchase of our house at a price we were happy with. Staff were knowledgeable - communicative with us, the buyers and with each other when different members needed to attend appointments or answer questions. They were honest and practical, experienced, approachable and aimed high for us We would recommend them for the successful managing of a house sale.

Martyn Gerrard Block Management managed Major Works of external decoration and roof repairs for our property comprising of three flats. This included lengthy communications with the leaseholders over 12months and the appointment of contractors. The result was a superb job on completion within the forecast timescales. As Freeholders we were completely satisfied by Consultancy and Management of the project by Block Management's professional staff.

Friendly getting you in, hell when you move out! We had a great experience moving in with Martyn Gerrard - they were fast, friendly and when the landlord was delayed signing the contract they were very accommodating and let us store our belongings in their basement. The problem came with moving out. Their standard contract doesn't contain any Exit Clause, so if you try and leave early for any reason you WILL be charged. They also include a 'check-out fee', where they essentially keep your deposit hostage until you fork out. Even after all of that, it took over 3 months to get our deposit back, chasing them the whole time. A nightmare! If you're going to be renting the place for more than a year they might be worth the fuss?tl;dr: nice getting you in, charge you to leave and taken an age to give you back your deposit.

Professional Scam Artists. They will encourage you to sign uneccesary contracts without mentioning the hidden fees. This happened to me when I was looking only for a 1year let however, they encouraged me to sign a 2-year let with a break clause. The agent made it sound like there was no difference so I naturally agreed. However, a year later, when it came to enacting the break-clause they duped me out of more than £1000 purely because I signed. They failed to mention this to me when ecouraging me to sign it and they knew that it wasn't in my interest to stay longer than a year. Do not trust anything these agents say. They are professional scam artists.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEIt's been a few months that I'm supposed to write this but I hesitated a little as the last time I wrote a bad review about another estate agent they ended up buying numerous fake google reviews to bury my one down the list and bump up their overall score...but anyway I am a real advocate of online reviews, as I think it's fundamental to share with others your opinion about a business, so here we are anyway. They wasted our time by pretty much forcing us into accepting an offer, basically saying that they trusted 100% the buyer as they knew the family, when it wasn't really the case. Our sale then took 9 months to take place, which really was not ideal. It's a shame that some businesses show very little consideration for their clients and I am afraid MG ticks most boxes when it comes to just that, so please don't waste your time and energy with them...they don't care about you!PS: they didn't even bother sending us an email/calling us to congratulate us on our sale/purchase after all that time dealing with us!!
