The director Shadot is nice enough but once you sign a lease youβre honestly on your own. Since we moved in weβve water and heating issues going on for over 2 months now. For weeks we were boiling water on the stove so our daughter can have a bath in winter. I would have never moved in with what I know now.

My main point of contact was Mike Masilsz who was a pleasure to deal with. He was absolutely determined to get this across the line and found very good tenants at a good rent. He was always responsive and extremely professional. Very happy with the end result. I also dealt with Chelsea Hare who arranged the contract and compliance again in a very professional and timely manner. I fekt confident that I was in good hands. I thus got a very good impression of Hunters, back and front of House.
Dear Mark, Thank you for the positive feedback. It was a pleasure to work with you. Kind Regards Hunters Team

Wish I could give more stars ! BIG thank you to John Duffy and the team for guiding me through such a difficult time. An all round professional and caring service from the start. John was always passionate, easy to contact, swift with replies and information and genuinely caring of my situation. Found the perfect couple for my house and also found me a new home. Would highly recommend. π π π

Awful customer service
I remain deeply disappointed in the way my most recent complaint has been handled at their Newcastle branch. The way the branch manager speaks to tenants is appalling! If you have a complaint then donβt expect any sympathy or accountability. We have rented this property for 11 years and in that time, we have been superb tenants but sadly that doesnβt mean anything to them. I anticipate a reply to this which will more than likely attempt to completely contradict what Iβve written here but just know that our experience has not been a positive one!

Nightmare move
I used Hunters to sell my home after living there for approximately 35 years. I want to acknowledge that the sale itself was complicated and involved significant delays, including probate and Land Registry issues. Hunters did work to keep the sale progressing, and I recognise the time and effort involved in that process. However, my experience on completion day was extremely distressing. I was still in the process of removing my belongings when the buyers and members of their family arrived at the property. My family and I were placed under considerable pressure to remove a lifetime of possessions as quickly as possible. My belongings were outside and in the street, and I felt deeply embarrassed, overwhelmed and humiliated by the circumstances. I had expected the handover of my home to be handled in a calm and organised way. Instead, what should have been an important and emotional moment after 35 years in my home became one of the most distressing experiences I have ever had. I raised a formal complaint with Hunters. The agency investigated the matter and explained that they had followed their usual procedures and were not aware that the buyers intended to attend the property at that time. I appreciate that Hunters were not present at the property and therefore could not comment directly on everything that happened there. I also appreciate that the completion process itself is controlled by solicitors and that many aspects of the timing are outside an estate agent's control. However, I remain deeply upset by the way the handover unfolded and by the experience I had on the day I left my home. I believe clearer communication and better coordination of the physical move may have prevented the situation from becoming so distressing. Having considered my experience and the response to my formal complaint, I would not recommend Hunters based on my experience of the completion and handover of my property. This review reflects my personal experience and the impact the events of completion day had on me.

illegal procedures - 1 bed property Sparks Close (Terrible Agent & Terrible Landlord)
1 bed property Sparks Close, Dagenham, RM8 - Landlord and hunters agent where complicit in illegal procedures regarding discrimination. We went through all the paper work and wasted 2 weeks till they call me and tell me the Landlord dont want a baby in the property. Don't trust them slow untrust worthy. And definitely dont rent the sparks close 1 bed property, Landlord seems like a handful save your self

Right from the start Hunters West Hampstead were really helpful and realistic about our sale prospects and the best options for marketing our flat. We had a difficult time with our first buyer but they were efficient and communicated really well with us and the solicitors to try to push the sale forward. When the sale fell though they were quick to engage with previous viewers and were able to get us another buyer almost immediately. They were in constant communication with the buyer, solicitors and us to ensure we met the deadline for exchange and completion. We would highly recommend the team at Hunters West Hampstead for your property sale with special thanks to Joshua for making sure our sale made it to the finish line!
Dear Kat, Thank you for the positive review, we are so happy that we could assist you with the sale of your property. Kind Regards Hunters Team

Joshua Abudu has been helping me with my search for an investment property. I found him very diligent, friendly and professional. He paid careful attention to my specifications and feedback, thus enabling me to find more suitable options. He kept me regularly informed about new and upcoming properties, followed up on any questions or concerns I had and went the extra mile to accommodate my busy schedule. Finally, he would offer great advice and suggestions on how I could improve my search and achieve my goals. I highly recommend him and his colleagues for all your property needs.

Hunters Estate & Letting Agents at West Hampstead were very unprofessional throughout our whole tenancy period (almost for two years). There were so many instances for an inappropriate behaviour mentioning as an example allowing access to our property to a third person without our prior notification and consent or trying to change our moving out date at last minute claiming that there was an error in their system. Contact with them was always hard and unpredictable and I would definitely not recommend this agency to anyone living in West Hampstead area.
Dear I Bourg, Thank you for your review. Having looked through the history of your tenancy, we understand that you experienced a few maintenance issues, however, as Iβm sure you can appreciate, we are the middlemen between Tenants and Landlords, and require authorisation from the Landlord before authorising works to go ahead. Unfortunately, this can sometimes cause delays in having maintenance issues completed, which we understand was frustrating for you. All urgent matters are picked up promptly, however, non-urgent matters will be picked up on a priority basis. All Tenants are notified of access with a minimum of 24 hours' notice, in writing. We do apologise if you feel you did not have a smooth tenancy, however, all matters are handled on a priority basis and unfortunately, human errors occur from time to time. Kind Regards Hunters Team

Mike and his team (Pavel and Rob) did a fantastic job of letting out my flat. They were very knowledgeable about the local market, proactive in sourcing potential tenants and updated me throughout the process. It also felt very collaborative in terms of working up a marketing strategy and once weβd secured a tenant, Chelsea was very professional, efficient and communicative in putting the right paperwork in place. Overall I had an excellent experience and would recommend Hunters to anyone.
Dear Tom, Thank you for the great feedback and for taking the time to leave the review. We are so glad that you are happy with the service that you received. Kind Regards Hunters Team

Wanted to say Big Thanks to Joshua for being professional and a hard working individual. Unlike other estate agents, Josh would always respond to my emails very fast ( no matter how late I email) and would arrange viewings at short notice. He also learns from mistakes ( we all allowed to make some:) and I remember he was late at our first meeting , not his fault) but then when I gave him feedback, next time( when the potential buyer was late again) he messaged me well in advance he would be late. I was registered with many estate agents and they did not seem to be receptive to feedback as Josh, good to see young man learning. He is a very hard working person and I wish him all the best in his career.
Dear Bota, Thank you for taking the time to leave Joshua a great review, we are glad that you were happy with the service that you received. Thank you for the positive feedback. Kind Regards Hunters Team

Not transparent, poor communication, poor customer service
1. Not transparent, even though they have a duty to disclose issues with the property once asked. When I asked why is a 2-bed in the city centre is only Β£995 (when I already knew the answer being ongoing construction site), they were purposely very vague. He emailed, "Regarding the prices, there are a number of factors affecting a valuation of a property which include size, conditions, time of year, building etc." 2. Get clients names mixed up and books you in for the wrong viewings. Eg. I asked to see a Β£995 2 bed property but they linked me to a Β£1300 property. I had to correct them. They also kept emailing me and calling me Chris when I said several times I am not Chris. Worrying early signs of poor communication, little to no client care. 3. Viewings are incomplete - why schedule a viewing of the property, only for me to turn up and that is when you say there is a communal laundry room but I am not allowed to view it. After the viewing I emailed back and this was their response: "The communal laundry rooms are on the stairs, one per floor. At the moment we donβt have capacity for second viewings unfortunately. I made it clear from the beginning of my enquiry that I wanted to find a quiet home to rent and no drama. Clearly, the initial contact and viewing experience already hints there will be drama, probably worse if I did sign a contract with Hunters.

My experience selling a property in theβ¦
My experience selling a property in the UK with this agent was extremely frustrating. For over four months, they delayed the transaction. Despite my constant follow-ups, they kept giving me excuse after excuse, like mortgage problems or minor issues, saying it would happen next week. Eventually, I told them I would pull out and sell to another buyer, but Matthew insisted I still had to pay. I also want to warn people about this company, be very cautious, because in the contract, they include terms that are unfavorable to the client. Once you sign, they do very little to follow up, and you canβt even be sure if the buyer will complete the deal. Their main priority is just getting you to sign, and regardless of whether the sale happens, they still take your money. And when I tried to back out, Matthew actually threatened me, saying that if I didnβt pay, they would escalate it to other departments. I feel this is a form of intimidation.β

I am very disappointed:
I am very disappointed: After my property was managed by Brandford Hunters for around 6 years, I was suddenly charged Β£240 for a new rental reform bill contract and Β£45 plus VAT per person for AML checks. These fees were not clearly explained or agreed with me in advance. The deduction was also made from my refund before I had signed or agreed to the new contract. I feel this is unclear and unfair, especially as a long term landlord client.

I would strongly advise others to thinkβ¦
I would strongly advise others to think twice before renting through this estate agent. When we signed our tenancy agreement, the property was advertised and agreed with included parking, which was a key factor in our decision to rent the flat. However, just a few months into our tenancy, the parking was suddenly closed off and made unavailable. This caused significant inconvenience and disruption to our daily lives, especially as parking had been a major factor in choosing this property. Whatβs particularly frustrating is how the situation was handled. The estate agent did very little to help resolve the issue and took no responsibility whatsoever, despite the parking being part of what was originally offered. Communication was poor, and we were essentially left to deal with the consequences on our own. During this time, we were forced to park in a Tesco car park and pay for parking after work. On multiple occasions there were no spaces available, meaning I had to drive around late in the evening trying to find alternative parking elsewhere. This was both stressful and time-consuming. To try and resolve the issue, my partner had to take several hours out of his working day over the course of a week, including attending a three-hour meeting. Despite this effort, the only solution offered was for the landlord to contribute just 50% towards alternative parking, which was located far away from our building in a public car park. Even with this contribution, it would still leave us paying over Β£100 extra per month for something that was originally included. To make matters worse, the flat has now been re-let at a significantly lower price than we were paying. We were paying Β£1,200 per month with parking included, yet it has since been advertised for under Β£1,000 per month without parking. In that context, the offer to contribute just 50% towards inconvenient, off-site parking feels completely inadequate and frankly quite insulting. We were ultimately forced to find a new property, which cost us hundreds of pounds in moving expenses, required taking multiple days off work, and caused a huge amount of stress. Despite this, the agent offered no compensation and even suggested we should be grateful to have been released from the contract. Once we had agreed to leave due to the parking issues and lack of support, we were then required to accommodate viewings of the property. This took up additional hours of my partnerβs working day and caused further disruption at an already stressful time while we were trying to organise our move. Only months after we moved out did the agent state that the landlord would cover the additional parking costs we incurred, but this was conditional on us agreeing to drop any other potential claims. We will not be agreeing to this. Had they taken proper responsibility for misrepresenting the property and the significant inconvenience, cost, and stress caused, this situation may have been handled very differently. The issues didnβt stop there. They then attempted to charge us money from our deposit for items such as βdiscoloration in the washing machine drawerβ, something that was already documented in the original check-in report. They provided an amount for repair without any supporting cost evidence. When we challenged this and requested proof, the quotes we eventually received were extremely high and unreasonable. We had to stand our ground and escalate the matter to TDS for dispute resolution, and only then did we end up paying only 40% of what they were trying to charge. It has now been months since we left the property and we still have not received our full deposit back, which is adding further financial strain and stress. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. A letting agent should provide support, take responsibility, and offer fair, reasonable solutions when issues arise. Unfortunately, this agent failed on all counts, and I would not recommend using them
