Savills did an amazing job for us, they found a buyer who was such a perfect match that they were probably a ‘one in a million’ find. Once the offer was accepted all went according to plan, we were very lucky to also have great executors (the property belonged to my father) and we got grant of probate through in record time, Savills were then able to inform the buyer that we would be ready to complete swiftly. On a personal level I would like to thank Lucy Banks from the Cambridge office, not only was she super professional and did a wonderful job showing people round but she was also amazingly reassuring, saying that the right buyer would be found… how right she was!

Not very happy at all with the service we have received over a period of one year. They over promised and under delivered. They tried to sell & justify - the house that we purchased - to the same price we paid 4 years ago! Keep in mind, We renovated the house, with a brand new kitchen and bathroom as well as carpets, a boiler etc. Plus we managed to get planning permission. Stewart from the agency is not interested in selling, he does it half heartedly and that’s reflected into his job. I’d go with a boutique agency who puts their heart and soul into it.

The house was on the market through a particularly difficult time, when energy prices and mortgage rates were rising, and it took a long time to sell, with price reductions along the way. Oh boy, do you get what you pay for! We tried 2 years earlier to sell our house with a different agency and the difference was evident from the start. Savills Cambridge and in particular our team of Annie, Lucy, James & Olivia were nothing short of stellar in managing our house sale. They worked as a consumately professional team providing reassurance, advice and sometimes an understanding ear when, as ever, things didn't quite go to plan. The marketing, the viewings (all handled by Savills) and the negotiations were handled smoothly making our lives that much easier. They didn't overprice, overpromise or underdeliver and they thoroughly qualified everyone before sending them to view. We received multiple cash offers all over the guide which meant we were able to determine which offer most closely matched our needs. We lost our 1st buyer due to circumstances beyond anyone's control 6 weeks in but the team seamlessly went into action and got everything back on track with a second purchaser. They kept in weekly contact with us, the solicitors and other involved parties. Everyone in the team was up to speed on everything so when someone was on leave the others were there ready to go. This was a very personalised service and whilst the percentage compared to other agencies may be slightly higher, the level of service received far outstrips anything you will get elsewhere in Cambridge. It took just 6 months from listing to completion including the voided 1st sale. We can honestly say we wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend this team at Savills Cambridge.
