Amazing Experience

Bidwells gave me three choices of…

Bidwells gave me three choices of tenants and has done all the procedures including signing the tenancy agreement for me.I did not give five stars because there was some hiccup in applying to change the account for heat supply. The staff repeatedly made a mistake in relation to one of the joint tenants' name in the application form so that the form was not accepted by the heating company twice.

Excellent service in a challenging house move

Bidwells were the agent for our sale and purchase, in what turned out to be a very complicated move. We were assisted all the way through and communication was excellent. At times we faced challenges where we thought the move might not happen but both Ollie Rivers and Frances McDermott facilitated discussions up and down the chain and we found resolutions to make the move happen. After such a move we wont be considering moving for a very long time but when we do we wouldn’t hesitate to work either Ollie or Frances again.

Best company in Cambridge

From property viewing through to referencing, everyone was helpful, kind, honest, and efficient. I needed some extra assistance to complete the reference check and James helped me sort it all out. The tenancy contract is reasonable and fair. Finding a place to rent is stressful, and I will always use Bidwells to do it in Cambridge from now on.

If I could give a 0 star

If I could give a 0 star, I would. Bidwells were both our rental and purchase agent. The checkout agency they use is a farce, they use over inflated costs to account for ‘damage’ to rental property. The customer service is woeful. In terms of property purchase, we were told to deal with infestations as the property was bought as we saw it though there was nothing obvious at the time we saw it. Worst real estate agent I have ever dealt with both for rentals and purchase. It is a pity that they monopolise the market!

look at the offices, you can see the profit

If your not informed you will pay extra fees. Subtle letter to say that you can sign for a lease extension for a fee, yet you can go to statutory for free. Exit asked for steam cleaning, contract just says clean carpets. Letter says to use preferred cleaners or we will claw money back if not to standard. Have been tenant for a few years, Several visits to repair (4 times for same fault) - they don't care,( 3 quotes on price). We will be spending about 1K to leave the property in fees and cleaning costs (beware!). Only made aware of some of these after signing the initial holding contract, when the full contract came we questioned and were told we were bound now. Very sharp practice, not to recommend.

Relocation to UK with Bidwells

I recently rented a fully managed house from Bidwells. It was a fantastic experience with the staff there. They only did not rent a house, but also support me to understand the local regulation here, referencing requirements, etc., and made my family relocation very smooth. I started the process when I was there in the middle east and I got keys on the second day of landing in the UK. Online support was quick and precise.
