After having had a poor experience with a local, smaller agent, we switched to Sharman Quinney Cambourne and were pleased by the way they genuinely pursued selling our home. The process felt proactive, their communications were good. We did use their in house mortgage advisor and their conveyancers for convenience (it was easier for us to pop into their branch to get signatures witnessed and they were more than happy to send correspondance off to our solicitor). One big difference between smaller agencies and the larger chains is that the large ones often have details on file for potentially interested investors looking for properties to rent out and they can use this to bridge gaps in a chain short notice. This can end up being very valuable to hold a chain together.

Terrible

Terrible, terrible agent and services. The branch manager asked me to pay twice a re-let cost, without checking if I had paid already. I strongly believe they never mentioned any of my issues and proposals regarding my tenancy to the landlord. Even he admitted he had no idea. Never again with them. You think I'm wrong? Challenge me. I've got all the emails to prove what I'm saying.

They won't let you view a property…

They won't let you view a property unless you 'go in and give us your details' - they point blank refused to allow me to see a property because I wouldn't go in to give my personal information away because of so called 'due diligence' for the seller. I haven't even seen the property yet!!!! How diligent is refusing a viewing for a seller!? Time wasters.

Do not use this estate agent

Attempted to buy a property from Sharman Quinney which was an extremely negative experience. Staff were rude, unhelpful and even insulting. I was repeatedly told that they didn’t have time for me and that I didn’t understand the process of buying a house. I was also called patronising, talked over and persistently fobbed off. Do not use this estate agent.

Unhelpful, bad mouth other businesses and just try to sell how amazing they are rather than listening to the customer! Gave up when they couldn’t get an agreement in principle for me only looking at high street options and trying to demand a 15% deposit! Won’t be bothering with them again!!
