Above and beyond - thanks Becky!

We've recently sold our property with the Thrapston branch, and although it was an awful process with a lengthy chain and some terrible solicitors / other agents involved, our experience with Becky was amazing. Becky communicated everything to me, numerous phonecalls and emails on some days, and she was consistently helpful. Becky went above and beyond, and appreciated that moving house is one of the most stressful experiences, and a lot was riding on our sale.

I was a first time buyer, buying a house not in a chain and it took 4 months to complete after constant chasing from me! Such slow service, mainly due to the poor attention to detail from the sellers using Sharman Quinney's in house conveyancers. Time after time the contracts had to be amended due to careless errors such as spelling mistakes, wrong names on contract etc. Very frustrating! There was no communication to apologise for the countless delays, the estate agents lost interest in helping me once I had my offer accepted. Would never recommend - avoid.

I Can't recommend Sharmann Quinney Cambourne highly enough. Both Nick and George supported us through the process of selling and buying our new home from start to finish. As always, there were some stressful moments in our chain to move,but Nick was always on hand to advise on the best course of action or just to find out what was happening from the other parties. My young family and I were due to move into a property this January. We viewed the property a month before, and Sharman Quinney sent us a contract to sign. Throughout the process communication was very poor. We rang the office more or less everyday in the week up to the move as we had yet to receive a signed contract from the landlord. We were assured everything was progressing but 48 hours before we were due to move in (a date that was agreed by both parties), Sharman Quinney revealed that they had had no contact with the landlord for ten days. Because we were due to be moving in two days time, we had organised movers, new nurseries and schools for our children, and end of tenancy cleaners. All this cost considerable time and money. Sharman Quinney then confessed that the property would not be able to be let to us as there was a burst pipe. Even if this were true, all of this could have been communicated to us days before. If there had been worryingly no contact with the landlord, this should’ve been said to us. Instead, we were left homeless and now have nowhere to move into. As a mother of a family of two children under four, this is incredibly distressing.

The Sharman Quinney team in Cambourne have been fantastic in helping us purchase our first house. From day 1, George bent over backwards to facilitate a very early viewing (basically as soon as he got the keys) which helped us get in a strong position with an accepted offer 3 days later. Luke has got a great team in Cambourne who really do try and do the right thing for both buyers and sellers. In particular, Emily has been 'on it'; updating us almost daily. A record sale from the team at Sharman Quinney, Cambourne! I am so pleased that Luke is back in Cambourne as the Senior Branch Manager. This is the fifth time I have sold a house with Sharman Quinney as well as buying one or two (not all at the same time they have been my homes!). Emily and George came to see the house so that they had a good understanding of our needs and the benefits of the house. They had arranged a viewing before we had even had time for Luke to value it! After a quick flurry of viewings the house has been sold in 5 days which means we can move forward with the house we really wanted. All the team are now working for a smooth and speedy transaction.
