GoogleI don't normally do reviews but I do feel let down by Chancellors. We decided to terminate the contract we had signed within the 14 day cooling off period as we were not quite ready to go on the market and was forced to pay £216 of costs. When signing the contract we were told there was a 14 day cooling off period so I was happy to sign the contract there and then. We realised afterwards that the valuation we had been given was probably unrealistic and too high (we probably got excited by this which is why we were keen to sign) and felt it was not dealt with very well. It felt like the valuation was based on what we wanted to hear not what was realistic in order to sell the property within a few months. After 7 days we were told if we did not pay they would get the debt collectors involved! It is frustrating as we probably would have gone with them when we were ready but instead very upset by how we felt we had been treated.

GoogleTerry at Chancellors has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to estate agents. We really had given up hope of finding someone we felt was honest and reliable, but he managed to make us feel confident and happy with our buying/selling experience. GoogleVery disappointed with the service, was given false expectations in relation to the date that we could move in causing me a lot of trouble, having to arrange a hotel to stay in. It was hard to get hold of the agent and the paperwork took ages to be ready, still not ready, and the referencing still hasn't been done.

GoogleBooked an viewing appointment with Marcus and was very pleased with the whole process. We didn't put an offer on the house but he was very helpful and patient showing us the property. Will definitely come back to him when we are ready to proceed with our property search.
