No interest in tenant welfare and no interest in arranging repairs

If I could give zero I would. Absolutely appalling tenant care from Darlows Albany Road and Darlows property management, Cardiff.Our boiler broke last winter and we had an absolute nightmare trying to get it fixed. We just could not get hold of property management, they only really answer before lunchtime. Then when a contractor was finally appointed to us they took 5 days to come out and look at it, and then told us he needed a few more days to get the part to fix it! This was during the winter when it was snowing too so we spent a week without heating in the freezing cold!! (luckily still had hot water). We asked for reduced rent to compensate for this but they would not entertain the idea (i am aware this is probably not a ‘done thing’ by lettings agents)Not only this, but now our boiler has broke again! We used their automated fixflo website when it happened last night, our situation was deemed of high importance but not urgent. The automated message said that a contractor had been assigned and would get in touch with us within an hour. That was 19 hours ago! But now we don't have hot water or heating (currenrly November) and now we’re having the same struggles with property management.All i can say is thank god I am moving out of this property soon, they are an absolute shambles of a company. I will be formally complaining to both their head office and my local council.AVOID RENTING WITH DARLOWS IF YOU CAN I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS HAD THIS SORT OF EXPERIENCE!!!Edit: Boiler was repaired day after reporting as we called Darlows’ head office. Boiler has not been fully repaired and was temporarily fixed (pending on landlord’s approval for a boiler service)

I chose Darlows estate agents in Caerphilly to market my property. From the first point of contact they were very professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. With regard to the service that I and my partner received from Gareth Lewis at Darlows. From the outset, our point of contact - Gareth was positive and proactive in his service in acquiring our new home. Furthermore he was only ever a phone call away for anything we asked. Gareth was very informative during the house visit , and clearly successful in his sale to us of the property at hand. I and my partner feel that his representation of Darlows through his thorough and flawless service was commendable to say the least, I felt and feel confident in the finalising of the sale due the consistency of service he provided. Communications pretty poor

Been trying to get hold of the property management at Merthyr for a couple of weeks with no success. I spoke to somebody maybe a month ago about a contract extension. The contract sent through was wrong and I've left messages, sent countless emails and even asked the sales team to give them a nudge.Nobody answers the phone in the PM department. I would visit but it's so far away and Merthyr is in the back end of absolutely nowhere.I know that nobody is dying and it's just a contract but our tenancy is up next week and it's super annoying. If the property was flooding, we would have all drowned by now.This isn't the 5 star level of service that they are known to strive for.

We decided to contact Darlows Caerphilly to manage the sale of our bungalow because we had such a good experience with the team when we bought the bungalow through them four years ago. We have been very impressed with the customer service we have received in selling our property, Gareth lewis has been our main point of contact, he has been very professional, has great communication skills and is always very helpful. Gareth has been very mindful that I am working from home when arranging viewings which has been a great help in these difficult times. Our bungalow has now sold thanks to all the marketing techniques of Darlows, we have received regular updates from Gareth with progress and all interested parties were informed within 24 hours. Darlows communication is generally excellent, when you telephone the branch and the staff are busy, you are automatically diverted to a central team who pass a message to the relevant member of staff who will call back within a short space of time. Thank you to all the staff at Darlows for making our house sale so quick, easy and hassle free We talked about wanting to sell our house and move for a long time but we were nervous to take the first steps we contacted Darlow and spoke with Gareth and Livvy, Livvy came out to take measurements and pictures she was so friendly, We were very pleased with our valuation so decided to put our home on the market, livvy made us feel so at ease and confident that we were making the right decision.
